Today, I was talking about phobias and anxiety disorders in psychology class. I nearly had a panic attack because I was worried that someone might realize I suffer from them. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, in health class we were watching a documentary about anxiety. My teacher asked if any of us often feel anxious. I was too anxious to raise my hand, and went into a minor panic attack. FML
Today, I had an extreme panic attack in the middle of class. I interrupted another person's presentation, burst into tears, and ran out of class whilst everyone looked at me. FML
Circular
Today, I had a panic attack while giving a presentation on how to breathe to avoid having panic attacks. FML
Hyperloop
Today, I found out that I'm failing this semester because I've missed too many classes. I've missed the classes because I've been having panic attacks, a symptom of my anxiety disorder. I got the anxiety disorder because I was so afraid of failing school. FML
Today, while trying to explain to my friends what an anxiety attack is like, I had an anxiety attack. FML
Today, I had an anxiety attack just from thinking about appearing on TV and being watched by a real audience. FML
SIKE!
Today, in my psychology class, the professor had us write down our name and birthday on one side of the paper and on the other side put down a mental disorder we would like to know more about. I was going to write 'Social anxiety disorder' but I was too worried about what people would think. FML
Ever decreasing circles
Today, I had to give presentation at work, for which I'd extensively prepared. However, as soon as I started speaking, I had a sudden panic attack and forgot everything I'd rehearsed. I stumbled through the presentation, feeling the embarrassment steadily grow in front of my colleagues. I almost passed out. FML
But there's panic on the streets of Carlisle
Today, I had a panic attack because my wife yelped at me. What did I say that made her yell? I told her that I had just been diagnosed with a panic disorder that's triggered by people yelling at me. FML
Nervous Nelly
Today, my social anxiety is so bad that the mere thought of talking to anyone, even someone who isn't even real, makes me feel ill and uneasy. FML

Anxiety destroys us but it drives the common man. Foundation of society; anxiety, suppress it if you can. Woo! Bad Religion, anyone with me?

What's withe everyone always complaining about having panic attacks? Is that like a new common "quirky cool" thing to do? People these days.....need to get out of the inner depths of their heads. There are better things in this world to get nervous about than a wild imagination.

I'm pretty sure if you suffered anxiety you would not write this. It's not something you can simply control. Panic attacks can come out of the blue at any moment for those who suffer it, without them having thought about anything. It's the body's response to an imbalance - I believe. And when we have an imbalance (anxiety) we try to make logic out of it "what in my surrounding would make it logical for me to feel this way now? - oh it must be this or that" thus creating a phobia for "this or that" that did not originate from ones thoughts. Of course there are other reasons too, but I believe a lot of people are imbalanced by too low pH values and poor nutrition/toxins impacting their sympathetic nervous system such that is activates without an external cause or gets heightened by events already uncomfortable. Trust me, you can't just switch it off - but you can work with it.

I suffered from social phobia for a good part of my life. I'm pretty much over it. Acceptance is the first step, and the most difficult. :) but once youve taken that first step you can start to learn how to control it-and have the quality of life i'm sure you've always wanted.
