Today, I was following a makeup tutorial on YouTube. The girl said to apply concealer to any "problem areas" on my face. When I was done, 90% of my face was covered in concealer. FML

Today, my mom told me that my new concealer is way too dark and makes my skin look hideously orange and uneven. I wasn't wearing any makeup. FML
Today, I was applying some acne ointment. The directions said, "Apply a thin layer, covering the entire affected area." In other words, for me: My entire face. Lovely. FML
Today, was my wedding day. Right before I walked down the aisle in my gorgeous white dress, the woman who did my makeup saw a blemish. She went to squirt concealer on her finger, but squirted the orange concealer all over my dress. FML
Today, I went to buy some makeup. As I was checking out, the cashier said, "You're going to need more than that to cover up that face." FML
Today, I was getting funny looks all day. When I got home I realised that I was interrupted while doing my make-up this morning and completely forgot to fill in my second eye brow. FML
Today, I was in my Cosmetic Application class, and we were about to apply foundation to our models. I walk over to my friend and say, "Wow, that foundation is really orange and blotchy." Then the model turns to me and says, "Actually, we haven't started yet… that's just my skin." FML
Today, I was doing my makeup. Halfway through, I asked my SO what he thought of it, as I was working on a new eyeshadow technique. He said my eyeshadow looked great, but that, "One eyebrow is up here and the other is down there," and that I should fix it. I hadn't done my eyebrows yet. That's just where they are. FML
Today, my girlfriend has become completely obsessed with YouTube makeup tutorials. She’s already beautiful and used to take 30 minutes tops to get ready. Now every time we leave the house, it’s some 2-hour paint session where she ends up looking like an unrecognizable fucking psychopath. FML
Today, I was told by 'Seventeen' to add liquid highlighter to my foundation for an all-over glow. Little did I know that liquid highlighter is an actual makeup product. I now have an awful rash due to applying the ink from a highlighter pen. FML
Today, I applied mascara directly onto my eyeball. FML

I bought Proactiv from a vending machine in the mall for 45 bucks and it just made my acne worse. I ended up just going to a dermatologist only to find out they give you proactiv. luckily, my acne went away on it's own eventually.

Not necessarily. Some people put concealer on first, so they would only have to put the foundation on where it would be needed.

every makeup video that I have seen in YouTube it always says to put on foundation first then concealer and trust me I have watched ALOT of makeup videos on you, and so if she was following the steps of the video then she probably did have foundation already on

I went to cosmo. school and you put it on before foundation a lot of the time, because concealer doesn't usually match your skin tone perfectly, but your foundation does

obv concealer doesnt match ur skin perfectly thats why your supposed to put powder on top of concealer. the steps are: 1.foundation, 2. concealer, 3. powder. when you put concealer first and then foundation on top, then they both get mixed and the concealer doesn't give you the coverage you want. so what your supposed to do is put on is put on ur foundation then take concealer that best matches your skin tone and apply it on problem areas and after that you powder you face so the foundation and concealer aren't obvious!!
