Today, I was driving on the freeway when I get a call from my friend explaining that our two best friends died in a car accident. I pulled over in hysterics and a cop came to see what was wrong. I explained what happened and he gave me a ticket for talking on the phone while driving. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was driving home and got a phone call from my mom. She called to tell me that there was a cop at the bottom of our hill, and to be careful. I got a ticket for talking on my cell phone while driving. FML

Reverse Uno card
Today, I was driving when I noticed that the guy in front was on the phone. I pulled up next to him, pulled out my phone and I made a gesture that he needed to put his phone away. It was a cop. I got a ticket for driving while on my cell phone. FML
Today, I saw someone drive recklessly as if they were drunk. When I called the cops, I got pulled over by another cop for talking on my cell phone. FML
Today, I was driving on the freeway when I saw a car in front of me swerving across 3 lanes of traffic. Thinking he might be drunk, I dialed 911 on my phone, but I dropped it. I fished under my seat to get it, swerving, and got pulled over by highway patrol and given a field sobriety test. FML
Am I being detained?
Today, I had to explain to a cop that the reason I was speeding was because my girlfriend was in the hospital due to a car accident. He was working the accident just ten minutes before and saw me leave behind the ambulance. He still gave me a ticket. FML
Today, I saw a car swerving in front of me on the freeway, so I whipped out my cell to report the DUI. As soon as it started ringing, I see police lights in my rear view and got slapped with a ticket for using a cell phone while driving. After explaining why, the officer said, "Nice try." FML

Today, I lost control of my vehicle while driving. The car went off the road, rolled over, and ended up being totaled. The policeman asked me if I was alright and I said I was. He seemed relieved at my answer. Then he handed me a $300 ticket for failing to maintain my lane. FML
Today, I was driving to work when a state trooper rammed into my car from behind, because he was on the cell phone and not paying attention. He gave me a ticket for "Failure to control speed to avoid a crash." FML

I agree with the cop. You were on the phone and crying your eyes put while driving. Who was watching the road??? Driving with a cell phone has been proven to be just as dangerous as a DUI.

Stupid California law...they really need to make some things an exception. How can we report the drunk drivers if we can't use our phones while driving? I guess....use your hands free device next time?

What a dick move... I can`t believe that! And as for Mr. 295 Sometimes people need to get ahold of you in an emergency... get a ******* grip. It`s not like she kept driving, she pulled over. She was being safe by pulling over when she was upset and doing the right thing, Cop had no right. She answered her phone and pulled over... that`s called SAFE driving where I come from to pull over when you get a call.

What is with all you insensitive jerks? The whole situation is an FML and it just goes to show that cops suck ass. They will write a ticket over stupid shit but if you are robbed or assaulted they are nowhere to be found and take forever to respond. She didn't deserve any of this.

Actually, he had every right. IN fact, he had an obligation. She broke the law. It doesn't matter that she pulled over if she did so while talking on the phone. Safe driving is pulling over (not on a freeway, mind you!) and then taking the call.

wtf?? u pulled over right? What a ******* **** of a cop. Hope he gets shot. And I agree with #299. Cops are ******* cowards. They only know how to give tickets to the weak and helpless, but ******* hide when there's a hold up.

The news you got was horrible, but the cop was doing his -job-. You still answered the phone while driving. Get a hands free set, or pull over and THEN answer.

Your a ******* idiot. Just because a few cops are worthless doesnt mean all of them are the same. I come from a line of police officers, my grandpa was shot sitting in his patrol car. My uncle is one of the best officers at his department, in his six years hes been officer of the year two in a row, and is already a sergeant and in charge of a lot of different divisions of the dept. I myself am planning on going to the police academy when I finish college. Your pathetic. What would you do without cops to protect your ass and keep things in order? Unless you wanna start tracking down rapists and stopping bank robberies shut the **** up.

#310, couldn't have said it better myself. I'm really sick of all these people who hate police officers. Most of them do it because it's the "in" thing to do. "HAR HAR **** DA PO-LEECE AMIRITE?!" Idiots. #300, Let's say the OP's friends were killed by another driver. Who the **** do you think is gonna investigate and try to find said driver? Are YOU? Yeah, I didn't think so. After all, YOU'RE too busy defending people in all these hold-ups the cops don't participate in, RIGHT?! I sincerely hope you are victimized one day and need the police's help. Maybe then you won't be talking so much shit.

Oh wow, I'm so sorry :( It's funny, my cousin died in a car accident last night. This was of course hundreds of miles away in Stratford, Ontario, but still... why so many young lives just.... gone?
