Today, I was at the library using a computer to order a package. A man sat down next to me mumbling to himself while staring at me. As I got up to go to the printer, he pointed at me and screamed, "I will burn you alive and enjoy it!" All of my info including my address was still on the computer screen. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
It wasn't me
Today, I was at the library. I went near the computer section when I saw this man cursing and pounding his fists on a computer. He left. I thought I'd check it out. As I sat down, a librarian came over with the security guard and pointed at me. I'm now being fined for destroying public property. FML
Just a prank, bro!
Today, at the library, somebody left themselves logged in to Facebook on a public computer after they had left. Trying to teach them a lesson, I updated their Facebook status to something outrageous. That's when they came back to the computer after getting something from the printer. FML
Today, I was at the library, working with some classmates on our major semester project. I accidentally killed power to the row of computers by me. I've never had so many enraged faces looking at me before. FML
Anger management class is next door
Today, before closing the library, someone came in to use the computer. He apparently forgot the password to his online banking, eventually getting so frustrated that he grabbed the monitor, yanked it from its cables, hurled it across the room, and stormed out. I don’t get paid enough for this. FML
Paranoia
Today, I offered help a customer to record his details, as he didn't have a scanner. He just stared at me, saying that he would never give any of his details if I typed them on my phone, as I could "do something else" without him knowing. He ended up canceling his orders and got upset on his way out. FML
Today, I was at the library doing research for my midterm. All of the computers were in use, so I decided to use my laptop instead. Ten minutes later, I was confronted and kicked out. My offense? Unauthorized use of the library's so-called "Free Public WiFi". FML
Winner winner, chicken dinner
Today, I tried to return a library book sneakily to avoid the overdue fine. I slid it on the counter but the scanner screamed, lights flashed, and the librarian announced my humiliatingly overdue name like a game show host. FML
What hell, lady?
Today, my friend wasn't responding to my whispers in the library, so I walked over and very slightly moved his chair. At that exact moment, the librarian walked in. Regardless of our efforts to tell her anything, she got us banned from the library. FML
Today, I was sitting on a train, doing homework for my programming class, when a man sat in the seat next to me. He must have been a programmer too, because he spent the next few hours staring at my screen and laughing whenever I made a mistake. FML
Today, I was in the middle of enjoying a really good book while in a waiting room. Someone saw what I was reading and thought it would be cool if she leaned over and told me everything that happens. FML

And now you know the importance of leaving Personal Identifiable Information open on a public computer.

FML team- You might want to fix "he pointed and me and screamed"
k_ninjaa 9

"You can run but u can't hide". See, 1 wrote "U "instead of "you". Huh, 100...

YDI for leaving a public terminal with any personal information displayed. What, you think you have no personal responsibility? Sorry, you lose. Keep an eye out. I hope you can keep away from your stalker.
cosmosis 12
Leaving personal info on a public computer is a big mistake. But does she really deserve to be threatened like that? Seems abit excessive dont you think.
jedielf 23
Well, according to your logic, everyone else who's ever ordered anything online on a public computer would deserve the death threats too, as it's easy to look at a screen over someone's shoulder.
redbluegreen 41
I can agree it's irresponsible, sure, but it doesn't mean OP deserves terrible things to happen to them.
doctorhook86 25
I agree with #2: Sarah Curtis needs to be more careful with her personal information...
gc327072 31
Agreed. I mean, imagine if Carmen San Diego used public terminals! Or Waldo!
bonsaiboy26 1
I have to agree leaving personal info was a bad idea, however it's no dif than having an fb account. That place is Id theft central. All it takes is one bit. Where u work, phone number anything. And even if your not set to public friend I friend can view so e careful
krewer21 1
No it does not seem excessive. You leave personal information in a public place, you deserve any and all hell that comes to you. Personal information is just that, PERSONAL. You are responsible to keep your information hidden. Leave it open to the world, then you choose to be victimized.
krewer21 1
That is your choice. Make it wisely

Run op run, before he burns you alive.

Restraining orders are a lovely thing, aren't they?
greenie213 23
Yes, but I highly doubt it keeps away the more serious homicidal lunatics.
RedPillSucks 33
Restraining orders only work if the person chooses to obey them. It's more like a restraining hint than an order.
sens3sfailing 25
Like parlay. It's more like guidelines than an actual set of rules.

And you are welcome to the movie (SAW)

Better idea: burn him alive first.

Yeah, I wonder why the OP is so poor, they can't afford a computer of their own. That in itself is a FYL for the OP

I would've minimized the screen or logged off or something before going to the printer

Better lock your doors all day, every day now.

On second thought....he could always burn you from the outside of the house. So have fun with that.

Library? People still use those things? Hope you don't die OP, I'd be freaked out.
xXxIracebethxXx 14
Yes, a library. Nothing wrong with books and free public computers.
RedPillSucks 33
Yes, cause not everyone can afford their own computer. Google doesn't always find all the stuff you want and shouldn't be the limit of your research.
luvlifeyolo 1
Most people still use libraries...
yousuck44 11
What rock are you living under? A lot of people still uses library's and I'm one of them.
