master baiter Brooklyn, United States

Today, I was at a job interview for a position I really needed. Somehow, the interviewer and I started talking about fishing. I joked, "I'm a master baiter." Needless to say, I didn't get the job. FML

Shorely, ************ jokes are aboat the most inappropriate thing for any formal situation. Way to sink that interview!

That was a pretty foolish thing to say in that kind of situation.

Too far hahah, keep the conversation appropriate

Companies can get sued for a lot of money for sexual harassment. You're trying to impress the interviewer, not make him think that you might make sexual jokes on a regular basis.

Yeah that's really not appropriate for job interviews why would you even?

Maybe you should leave that kind of information at home...

I'm the world's best master baiter ;)

learn from this :)

So.... you and the interviewer get into a topic about fishing (apparently having nothing to do with the job), and you make a joke pertaining to the conversation, and because of THAT you don't get the job? Huh?

Apparently you Sir did not get the joke.

Well... You deserve it, but I still gotta laugh! :)
