Today, I was a bit upset to learn that my 13 year-old daughter had a boyfriend. When she noticed, she assured me that I shouldn't worry, because "it's just for sex anyway". FML

Today, I found out that my daughter not only has a boyfriend, but that they're trying for a baby. She's barely 15. FML
Today, my daughter's 14-year-old boyfriend confessed, in front of her, that he only went out with her so he might have a chance to date me. My daughter isn't speaking to me. FML
Today, I picked my 12-year-old daughter up from school after her first sexual education lecture. She burst into tears on the way home explaining her fears of being pregnant with her boyfriend's child. As if that doesn't sound bad enough, I've met her boyfriend before. He is imaginary. FML
Today, my 15-year-old daughter told me that she's pregnant. To make matters worse, she doesn't know who the father is. She told me not to worry though, because she has it narrowed down to "like, only 3 guys." FML
Today, I walked into the living room to find my 11-year-old daughter about to kiss her "not my boyfriend" on the lips. When I asked what she thought she was doing, she peeled a piece of scotch tape off her lips and said, "It's okay! We're using protection." FML
Today, I found out my 20 year-old daughter has a 46 year-old boyfriend. She met him at her job. When I objected, she told me that I can’t tell her “heart” what to do because she’s “grown” and “in love.” I had to teach her how to wash and she still leaves dirty pads on the floor, but sure, she’s “in love.” FML
Today, my 15-year-old birth daughter asked if I've ever had sex. FML
Today, not only did I find out that my 13 year-old daughter is pregnant, I found out that she did it on purpose "to prove that she’s responsible." FML
Today, I overheard my 14-year-old daughter telling her friend that she's saving money to get her hymen surgically removed so her first time won't hurt. FML
Today, my boyfriend's 13-year-old daughter called me a "stupid f**ing b****" on Snapchat because her dad wouldn't go on the trampoline with her. I had nothing to do with any of it. FML

Most of you people are making it out like EVERY young teenager is having sex. Some are, but it's the adult generation that have brought us up. We see it everywhere, how can you not expect a few kids to try it early? They want to see what all the fuss is about. And, the average age for losing your viriginity in England is still 17- most people wait till they're older.

here's the thing: not only are teenagers going to have sex whether you like it or not, but they should. If you've ever met someone who was never intimate with anyone until they were in their late teens to early twenties or later, they are the most insecure, awkward, unstable, violent, angry, unreasonable people you will ever know. The important thing is proper birth control. it would ruin the kid's life if she got pregnant and was for some reason made to carry it to term, so teach her about taking the proper measures. You can't stop it from happening otherwise. if they don't use the door they'll use the window. better that you know then have it happening behind your back.

I can only agree with this to a certain extent. I didn't start having sex until 3 months before my 21st birthday, and I am one of the most upbeat; and confident women you'd ever meet. I wasn't ready to have sex at a younger age, and so I didn't. And because I know my worth I didn't let any boy or man for that matter pressure me into doing the deed. If you couldn't wait for me then you simply weren't worth my time, and it was your loss. I have loads of self-esteem, and am not insecure at all. But again I knew who I was and what I was worth early on. So I knew I didn't need to have sex w a boyfriend. But children have sex. When I was in the seventh and eight almost all the girls and boys in our grade was having sex, and with one another. We weren't even 13 yet. I know people who have had oral sex as early as 6 years old; and have a friend who grew up in a very strict religious household, and she first had a penis in her ****** at 5 years old. She initiated. It is known that babies ********** in the womb. Babies who are born, and are only a few months old **********. So it doesn't always have to do with this "overly sexualized" society. People are horny by nature. But I don't expect sexually repressed people to understand that. At a very young age i even experienced with the sexual aspects of life, as I was very horny at 4,5,6 years of age. It happens. This child is having sex, and although she shouldn't be scaring her isn't the answer. Sex is not bad, it's is pleasureable and healthy for you. But a child can not deal with the consequences of sex so therefore should not have it. However she is already engaging and you will not be able to stop that from happening. Educate her not scare her. She needs to have a healthy attitude regarding sex, not a scary perspective. Show her what could happen, explain to her the consequence that is a baby. Help her to come to the logical conclusion that she is not ready for what sex can bring. Then still arm her with condoms for when she has those moments when she is caught up in her hormones. It's not the worse thing in the world. Your daughter is getting laid, it was going to happen sooner or later. It could be worse; she could be having sex with a willing relative. Lord knows lots of people start out having sex with their brothers and cousins lol. Ugh!

I know people that were having sex at 13. Children aren't as innocent as people think. Just make sure she's educated. There's really nothing you can do to stop it unless you lock her in her room. Then again she could just skip class and have sex somewhere in the school.
