Today, I've now worked on Thanksgiving, Black Friday, the weekend after that, and two days this week. My husband and son have had all that time off, and yet I've still ended up having to clean the dishes and the house after them on all of these days. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
The bottom line
Today, I work in healthcare, and I was told that since someone quit I have to work Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas day, and all of New Year's weekend. This is after I was told, "Our workplace is a family." FML
Customer service
Today, I went to work during Black Friday, after not being invited to my family's Thanksgiving dinner. FML
Today, I worked a full day and then went to a three-hour class. I got home at 9 PM, and before the door closed I heard, "There's a sink full of dishes for you." There are three able-bodied men in the house, all of whom got here hours ago and created that sink full of dishes. FML
Unreasonable
Today, I'm on my sixth straight day of double shifts, with four more to go. I make overtime so I'm not complaining, but today my wife texted me, "Going out of town tonight, I expect the house to be spotless when I return." Not sure how I'm going to swing this one. FML
Clean freak
Today, at home, I always do my share of the chores. I just got back from a business trip and it turns out that I actually do ALL the chores. My wife was alone for 9 days, the kitchen was a in state, dirty laundry everywhere, cat litter box overflowing onto the floor, and the bathroom was fucking disgusting. FML
Just vibing
Today, it was our first kid-free weekend in almost two months, and I was hoping for a nice date night. Instead, she picked up two shifts at work and then had a girls' night. Don't worry, she assigned me a massive deep clean that ate up almost my entire weekend. FML
Quality family time
Today, after a long talk with the kids, I finally got all the chores around the house done early so we could have a fun family weekend. My wife decided to be a wet blanket and insisted we needed to deep clean the already clean kitchen. Three arguments later, everyone is sulking, and I'm working in the kitchen alone. FML
Today, my toilet broke. Yesterday, the shower filled up with sludge. I have ten people coming over for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. FML
Help, I need somebody!
Today, it's my birthday, and like every other Sunday, my wife's been called into work, and I'm left with our three toddlers and yesterday's mess to clean up. It's raining. FML
Today, after working 12 shifts in the past 8 days at 2 jobs and thinking today was a day off, I got the call that I misread my schedule and I was in fact scheduled. Got off at 2:30 am, work again at 9 am with 9 shifts to go this week. FML

Tell them to get off their lazy asses and give you a hand.

Don't forget to wipe their asses. Without you around to do it, I'm sure their lazy asses are filling up with dingleberry crust.

Why would they clean up if they know you're going to do it, like you always do. By doing that you allow them to treat you the way that they do

Yes, lets victim-blame some more, shall we?

She is as much to blame as they are. People treat you the way you let them

I would tell them what needs to be done, and if they expect any kind of Christmas cheer this year, that list better be finished before you get off work the next day.

Time for Mom to go on strike

I worked 11 hours on black friday (no break), 9 hours saturday (no break) 8 and a half hours sunday (also no break) and am still expected by my mother and grandmother who are both on social security and spend most of the day sleeping, to cook and clean and take care of the animals. yesterday i had enough and blew, i threatened to take my foodstamps and my paycheck which puts the food in their lazy mouths somewhere where it would be appreciated. it worked. its time for you to blow your top. take away ALL of your son's privelages until he starts pulling his weight and contributing to the family and DESERVES them. play the sex card and the job card with your husband no matter how badly it "emasculates him" and until he starts pulling his weight and helping YOU, the BREAD WINNER, and starts showing you respect, he gets nothing. YOU have all the power because you earn the money

How are you getting food stamps if you have so many working hours?

It's illegal to work for that many consecutive hours without a break... I'd take that up with your employer.

Welcome to the real world. It's called being a mother/wife.

Being a wife and/or mother is a tough, thankless job, but that doesn't mean you should let such blatant disrespect happen.

That's your job own it.

You could have refused to do it and insisted that they clean up after themselves...

Blah blah blah...
