Today, I worked a full day and then went to a three-hour class. I got home at 9 PM, and before the door closed I heard, "There's a sink full of dishes for you." There are three able-bodied men in the house, all of whom got here hours ago and created that sink full of dishes. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I came home after ten hours at work to find my unemployed wife and 4 kids sprawled out watching TV waiting for me to get home and cook for them. I had to wash all the dishes first because they didn't feel like getting up or helping. FML
Today, I walked in on one of my housemates pissing in the kitchen sink full of dirty dishes. FML
Today, after a full shift at work, I got home to my boyfriend playing CoD, a full sink, crap all over the table, a full cat box, dirty bathroom, no laundry done and the kids at my parents' house. He yelled at me because the place was a mess. FML
Clean freak
Today, at home, I always do my share of the chores. I just got back from a business trip and it turns out that I actually do ALL the chores. My wife was alone for 9 days, the kitchen was a in state, dirty laundry everywhere, cat litter box overflowing onto the floor, and the bathroom was fucking disgusting. FML
Today, I've now worked on Thanksgiving, Black Friday, the weekend after that, and two days this week. My husband and son have had all that time off, and yet I've still ended up having to clean the dishes and the house after them on all of these days. FML
Can't win, part 15
Today, while my parents were grocery shopping, I cleaned the kitchen, swept floors, did laundry, and cleaned bathrooms, only to finish right before they got home. After dinner, my dad bitched and complained that I didn't take out the trash and he had no room to throw away his paper plate. FML
Today, while I was working a customer notified me that the men's restroom need some attention. Thinking that there was just a small mess, I walked into the restroom only to discover someone had taken a crap in the sink. Guess who got to clean it. FML
Today, our dishwasher broke. It's my husband's chore to do the dishes, but he refused to hand-wash them, and instead suggested we take them all up to his mother's for her to put in her dishwasher. FML
Magpie eyes
Today, I spent an hour making my favorite work lunches, then portioning them out so I could have them all week. I later came home to a pile of empty containers. My girlfriend said, "Sorry, I got the munchies. Also, can you please do the dishes?" FML
Help out or get out
Today, I had an very long day at work. I also had to take my daughter to the dentist and ballet class. Later, my 3 year-old son was having a diarrhoea, needing care, yet I pulled myself up, cooked, fed, read, cleaned the whole house except the kids' bedroom. My brother-in-law came, looked only at that and judged me horribly. FML

Let me guess-you did them? That is why they expect you to do them-you let them push you around like that. Tell them to do them.

if you did the dishes then YDi for being a pushover and letting them treat you like a doormat. I hope you had some self respect and also treated them like capable people by refusing to do them and let them do them- unless of course you all take turns and it was your turn

if OP would of told any of my guy friends this story they would simply say " women belong in the kitchen, so naturally it's a woman's problem" they tell me this all the time. I think it's pretty funny. :)

How is this funny? None of you understand the dangers of the kitchen! Hot stoves, muck-covered sinks, confusing measurements for everything, knives lining every counter, blenders ready to chew up your fingers, and that spatula is just plain awful!

"Snow White is doing dishes again, 'cuz what else can you do with seven ity-bity men?"

17 - that is not only unfunny, it's offensive. How is reducing a woman to a man's personal maid funny? Perhaps you and your guy "friends" should grow up.

She's right. Make sure you know what you're talking about if you're going to be a grammar Nazi.

I can't decide whether this is sexism or laziness. Either way, I'd put scorpions in their mattresses.

I feel your pain OP. I live with 2 unemployed men who NEVER do dishes, pick up a mop or broom, vaccuum, nothing. Sometimes I even wonder if they even know we own a trash can. Unfortunately for me, I've "gone on strike" multiples times for extended periods of time and all that does is leave me with a whole week or twos worth of messes to clean instead of 1 days worth of messes. FYL.

Time to get a chart list of chores and hand out gold stars like they do in grade school. (: Lucky for me, my husband cleans and I hired a maid to come in twice a month. I'd rather cut corners here and there just to afford her.

no it's time for these 2 lazy asses to get jobs lol

Now I'm going to make a suggestion here: If at all possible, move out.

I wouldn't do it if I was you. But then again, if you don't want to live in filth then you're just going to have to do it.
