Today, I took my son for a walk to tell him about the passing of our family dog. As we were walking by the river, Ozzy (our deceased dog) was laying on the riverbank. My son thought he just ran away and we found him. Turns out my husband was too cheap to pay the 100$ vet disposal fees. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was taking out the trash and I came upon a bill from a veterinary hospital. It was for $50 and it was a bill to put my dog down. My Dad said my dog was missing and I put hundreds of signs around the city. FML
Today, I was outside searching for "treasures" with my son using small plastic shovels. All of a sudden he starts screaming. He dug up the bones of our old dog. I told him that we had sent him away to live on a farm, I even helped my son write letters to the farm owners. FML
Poor good boy
Today, my dog died. I spent ages digging him a grave and buried him in the garden so that my dad wouldn't have to deal with the stress when he got home from work. When my dad got home he told me that he had wanted the dog to be cremated. I have just had to dig up my dog's body. FML
Today, while I was on a field trip with my son, my husband decided to get rid of our dog without asking anyone. Now I get to pick up the pieces of a broken heart, and he thinks he did nothing wrong. FML
Today, I told my daughter that we were going to the beach. Today, my daughter also tried to dig up our deceased dog, who we buried in our back yard last week, so he could come along. FML
Brief encounter
Today, I decided to adopt a 11 year-old dog that had been in need of a home for several months. Two hours after I got him home, I discovered him dead in the backyard. FML
Today, I was babysitting my little cousin when we decided to go outside and have a "treasure hunt" in the backyard. The first thing we found? The bones of her pet dog who had passed away four years ago. FML
Today, I found my cat dead on the road. I called my family and told them, and later buried the cat. Not long after I got done burying it, my cat walked up to me. I buried someone else's cat. FML
Today, I went to my father's house to get my dog, since I had left it with him while I was on a business trip. When I got there, my dad said the dog pooped on the floor a few days ago, and so he took him to the pound. FML
Today, my dog died. My parents told me to bury it out back. In the process, I managed to dig up my cat. FML

1st - I feel terrible for your son! 2nd - I feel terrible for YOU for having to be tehre when he witnessed this. 3rd - I'd make your HUSBAND explain to your son exacty why he was too selfish to cover the costs of the basics adn why he didn't care about your son enough to do things right. Seriously. He disgusts me.

...your husband didn't want to pay to fees AND he didn't even bother burying him? That's ridiculous. I agree with #3 - make HIM explain.

Just tell your son that the dog is taking a really long nap.

What a horrible story. You know who to blame for your son's potential mental scarring and depression.

He should have buried it. The vet shouldn't charge $100 to "dispose" of dead things. They aren't real doctors, anyways.

You obviously don't care about God's creatures. Sadly he made you. The FAMILY dog could have been buried. I hope you don't have pets or kids. You would be horrible. Don't tell people how to feel. That's like me saying get over a close family member of yours dying...If you care about them that is. COLD.

At least your husband is frugal. This is why we shouldn't have children.

Today, I took my beloved family dog of many years to be put down. Afterwards, I traveled to our favorite park to bury him along the riverbank. Overwhelmed with grief, I had forgotten a shovel. I left for ten minutes to get one, and after coming home, my wife won't speak to me and my son won't stop crying. FML.

FOR EVERYONE WHO IS SAYING THAT THE HUSBAND WAS LAZY NOT TO BURY IT, IDK IF YOU ALL KNOW THIS, BUT IN MOST PLACES IT IS ILLEGAL TO BURY AN ANIMAL AND VETS AND OTHER PLACES CREMATE IT

Actually #25, vet school is just as intense if not more so than med school. Students are discouraged from becoming vets because the education is so intense. If you think about it, it's like med school for 100 different species. Op, your husband is sick. He could have at least burried the poor dog. 28 and 29, I hope this is how your bodies are treated when you die.
