Today, I heard my girlfriend refer to me as her “boyfriend for now”, as in the guy she strings along until she meets the guy she loves and wants to marry. We’ve been together for two years and rent a flat together. FML
Today, my boyfriend of 3 months broke up with me because he is moving. He's only moving 20 minutes away. FML
Today, my boyfriend of 3 years sprung the news that he had gotten a new job across the country and would be moving immediately. With his wife and children. First I'm hearing about them. FML

Today, my long-distance boyfriend of 3 years uttered the heartbreaking words, “I met this girl here in my hometown and she’s really great and we fell in love with each other, I can’t do this anymore. We’re over.” I was planning on moving to his town after graduation this year. FML

Today, I was introduced to friends of my boyfriend as, "My other girlfriend." FML
Today, I finally got the courage to tell my boyfriend that I love him. We've been dating almost a year and in a few days we will be moving into the same apartment building and attending the same college. He said, "I'm sorry, I don't feel the same way." FML

Have you two spoken about this before? I mean, was this info out of nowhere? Maybe he's hurt that you're moving and doesn't really know what to say. Communicate if you havent!

Is it a bit childish? Ya, but you can't blame him considering it sure sounds like you sprang this on him out of nowhere.

You chose your career over him, so it's pretty clear where your priorities lie. Now you're annoyed that he doesn't love you as much as you love yourself. Did you want him to be heartbroken to make yourself feel better?

It sounds like the guy is hurt you're leaving OP and he's teasing to try and make light of it... I know cuz something VERY similar has happened to me.
