Today, I spoke to my crush for the first time, and after a while he asked for my number. Ecstatic, I took the first piece of paper I saw out of my purse. I wrote it down and gave it to him, but he handed it back and said, "You might need this." It was an appointment card for my therapist. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I met a really cute guy at work. He asked for my number, and I wrote it down on a piece of paper. After looking at the paper, he crumpled it up, yelled "Do you think I'm stupid? I know the rejection hotline when I see it", and walked away. It was my real phone number. FML
Today, I was talking to my crush about making the soccer team. Excited, he congratulated me and asked for my number. I gave him my cellphone number. He laughed and said "your jersey number". FML
Today, I worked up the courage to give a guy my number. I wrote it down on a piece of paper, tore it in half and gave it to him. Later, I noticed I'd given him the wrong, blank half. FML
Today, a cute guy came up to me and asked for my phone number. I was super excited and began to write it down when he said, "It doesn't have to be your real number, I'm not gonna call anyway." I still gave him my real number. FML
Today, I got my crush's phone number. I started texting him and once I told him who it was, he stopped replying. FML
Today, I was talking to a guy I really liked, hoping that he would ask me out. Eventually he asked for my number. I was so excited that I couldn't remember it. FML
Hitting it off
Today, my friend and I went to a bar for drinks. I noticed this cute girl and went over to say "Hi." I had a great conversation with her and I asked for her number before she left. She passed it to me on a piece of paper with instructions specifying for my friend to call her and not me. FML
Today, trying to be smooth, I slipped the girl I like a piece of paper with my phone number written on it. A while later, she slipped it back to me and left the room. FML
Nice guy
Today, I finally worked up the courage to ask a cute guy for his number. Once he had given me his, he asked for mine. My initial happiness was deflated when he said, "OK, now I can just block every message from you," and walked away. FML
Today, a girl I've been crushing on for over a year finally gave me her number. I lost the note at home, but found it a few hours later. I excitedly called, only to find she'd written down the number for the local Pizza Hut. FML

Therapy is nothing to be ashamed of, I don't know why you'd feel embarrassed.

Ya I agree but some people relate therapy to insanity or instability... So in that case it would be embarrassing if they made that assumption.

People go to therapy all the time. It's nothing to be ashamed of.

Better than an appointment card to the gynecologist to treat an infection. Plus who doesn't like a girl with a little crazy in her :P

Depending on the type of crazy, I would guess most people.

Like 28 said, it depends on the kind of crazy. Crazy fun as in they are loony in a funny hyper way is all good. Crazy as in "if you ever get close to another girl I'll make sure no one will ever get to see you ever again" is not good. Woah, got a little to personal there!

I don't think anyone from these parts knows what that is.

I mean even if she's the bad kind of crazy at least she's getting help... that's gotta be good right?

If he was actually interested in you in the first place, it's possible that you can still win him over. Just give it a few days and try talking to him again; hopefully he's mature enough to realize that therapy doesn't necessarily mean that you're crazy.

Therapist doesn't necessarily mean crazy--plenty of people see a therapist just to deal with everyday stress.

Nothing to be ashamed about for going to therapy, many people attend it for countless reasons. Maybe not the standard first impression, sure, but hopefully you weren't judged too negatively for it.

There's nothing wrong with seeing a therapist

And at least he knows this ones crazy from the get go and not the "I hope I find out she's nuts before my testicles end up pickled in a jar" hidden kind of crazy

Does anyone really write their number down anymore? Isn't just taking out your phone and puting in your contact the norm now. Besides, many people go to therapy these day. He doesn't know any of your problems or how "bad" they may be. If he faults you for that, then move on.
