Today, I spent $70 on party supplies for my sister's bachelorette party, another hour decorating, three hours baking and designing a cake, before waiting five hours to hear that she and another bridesmaid had 'moved' the party elsewhere. Cake anyone? FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I spent over $160 and 2 hours preparing for a Halloween party I was throwing. The only person who showed up was my sister, who helped me decorate. FML
Today, I went to pick up my sister's wedding cake. It was a nice day, the shop was close, and the cake wasn't too big so I walked. On my way back, I stepped aside for a kid on a bike, tripped over my shoelaces, and dumped my sister's expensive, custom-designed cake. The wedding is tomorrow. FML
Today, after planning 4 months in advance and spending almost $600 to cover everyone's tickets to the event center, all of my siblings decided to bail on my 30th birthday celebration because driving 3 hours is too much. FML
Today, I was at my sister's wedding. Everything was going flawlessly. That is, until our visibly drunk mom started a punch-up over who got to cut the cake first. FML
Happy intoxication day
Today, my sisters and I were throwing my mom a birthday party. Since I'm not good at baking, I ordered her a really nice and expensive cake. As my daughter and I were headed out the door, she told me she had added some sprinkles to make it pretty. It was the silica beads from a package. FML
Today, I woke up early and spent hours baking and icing a three-tier cake for my friend's eighteenth birthday, which is this evening. I just found out my mother threw it in the compost bin because she's on a diet and it was "tempting" her. FML
That blows
Today, it's my birthday and I was very happy. When the moment came to blow the candles, all of the decoration on the cake flew off. It had taken an hour to make and set them on the cake. FML
Celebrate!
Today, at work, I was supposed to have an easy two-hour shift, after which I was planning on attending a party that had been arranged to celebrate my graduation. Nearly six hours later, I am just getting home after being super busy and shorthanded at work for hours. I missed my own party. FML
Today, is my little sister's 16th birthday. I spent my last $20 on a gift for her, cleaned the house for her party, made an ice cream cake, and got her a rose. What did I get? "I hope you kept the receipt for this. Oh, and stay in your room during my party." FML
Today, my family threw me a surprise party for my 29th Birthday. My brother-in-law sent me a text telling me they were all waiting for me to arrive. Thinking it was at my sister's home, I drove two hours there. It was actually at my parents' house. I missed my party and they ate my cake. FML

At least you didn't book a stripper, unless he counts as a "party supply".

Can you not just move the stuff from where you are now to the new place?

She's still down $70 and time for the supplies she put up at the original venue.

That's true, but at least if she could move the stuff her time and hard work aren't completely wasted

Moving the party without telling OP is a bitch move. I'd find some hungry folks and let them have some cake, at least they'd be appreciative of the work involved.

Ouch, that sucks! It sounds like she just wanted a laugh from seeing you do all that work. But I want some cake!

it would be funny if she showed up at the new avenue with her cake and smashed it into the faces of the other bridesmaids, then start fighting (reminds me of a movie xD) and in the end laughing, because its still a time to be happy with the people you love. Edit: Oh, and its even better with a stripper.

Everyone knows that strippers at bachelor/bachelorette parties count as entertainment, not party supplies. Unless they have them in stock at Party City and no one has informed me of this...

You could probably just buy an inflatable car-lot dancer and draw a banana hammock on it. The stripper version of a blow-up doll.

I'll take it! :)

Can I have cake?

So. That cake offer. That still going? Or are you out?

I think the cake would be just as well served smushed into the offending bridesmaid's face!
