Today, I spent $20 on a spray tan, $30 to have my make up done, and $50 on a pretty new dress all for a special date with my boyfriend. It turns out I spent $100 just to get dumped. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Say hello, wave goodbye
Today, my boyfriend wanted to take me to a movie after days of not seeing me. This long-awaited date involved me paying for food and my movie ticket when he ran out of cash again. He then dumped me as we left the theater walking to his car. Yes, I financed my own breakup date. FML
Make up to…
Today, my boyfriend came home from college for the first time in weeks just to visit me. I was so excited that I spent two hours getting ready. Turns out he was only coming back to dump me. Now I'm single and out of foundation. FML
Today, one of my boyfriend's friends ranted on about how I am such a crappy girlfriend and how all of his friends don't like me. I just spent over $200 on a surprise party that I invited them all to last weekend. FML
Today, after telling my girlfriend that I loved her, she dumped me claiming I was getting "too attached". I've already spent almost $400 on her Valentine's Day present. FML
Today, I was dumped at the surprise party I threw for my boyfriend. FML
Perfect day
Today, it was my birthday. My boyfriend made me breakfast in bed, then we went out shopping, had a picnic, watched a good romcom, had a fancy dinner, and ended the day with great sex. And when the clock struck twelve, he dumped me. FML
Today, my boyfriend gave me a $100 gift card for Victoria's Secret. Suspicious, I checked the receipt he'd left in the bag. Turns out he had bought it during the two weeks we were broken up for some other girl who rejected him, so decided to give it to me instead. FML
Today, I found out that my boyfriend wrote 50 dollars on my gift card just to look generous, it's really only worth five. I found this out after I tried to buy an arm full of clothes. FML
Today, I spent 65 dollars in cab fare and skipped half of my grade 12 classes, including a unit test, to see my girlfriend on our two year anniversary. I arrived just in time to see her kiss her other boyfriend of over a year good bye. FML
The price of love
Today, I got home from visiting my long-distance girlfriend. I spent $366 to get a plane ticket to visit her for the week. The day after I arrived there, she broke up with me and I had to buy a ticket for an earlier flight home. With fees and penalties, I paid around $550 to be broken up with. FML

Most of the people who've commented on this FML are total assholes. No one has any right to say a girl deserves to be dumped for making an effort with her appearence. OP, I hope you find a better boyfriend.

Yikes! Priceless. At least yours didn't move out and take all the furnature while you were at work. He was supposed to pick me up. I waited for an hour, then walked home and freaked out, thinking we were robbed. At least he couldn't fit the bed into the moving van. I cried into the bare mattress all night. Good times. You live and learn, I suppose. Sorry, girl!

I find it hard to believe her total came out to EXACTLY $100. Unless she lives in a country with no sales tax in which case i'm moving.

I think the moral of the story is pretty obvious seeing several girls whining about how much they spend just to go on a date. Did you ever consider that you don't need to fake tan or put make up for a guy to like you ? Personally, if I like a girl then I like her no matter what. She doesn't need superficial crap to prove her beauty. And I thought it's the inside that counts. Or so you females claim. So moral of the story: Pull your heads out of your asses and smell the grass. Adieu.
