Today, I set up a hidden camera in my room so I could prove that my sister beats me up when my parents aren't home, since they always accuse me of lying about it. When I showed them, they wasted no time accusing me of "provoking" her off-camera. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I found a hidden camera in my room equipped with night vision and a microphone. My parents have been spying on me for at least the past year. FML
Today, my pathetic wannabe influencer sister would not stop recording my kids, even though they and I told her not to. I finally snapped and smashed her phone and now she's threatening to press charges, and our parents are on her side. My kids are scared that they're going to be taken away from me. FML
Today, my demented little sister walked up to me and kicked me between the legs. I told my parents, but they just accusingly asked me what I did to provoke her. When I said, "Nothing", they accused me of lying. There is no justice. FML
Today, my sister snuck into the bathroom while I was in the shower (the lock is broken) and took my clothes and towels. I came out and quickly went to my room. As I went in, my sister was sitting on my bed with two friends watching TV. I instantly covered up, but they saw everything. FML
Today, I felt lousy and decided to give myself a pep-talk in the mirror. After a while, I cheered up and went about my day. I soon found out that my sister had recorded me through the crack of the door and posted the video on Facebook. I'm humiliated. FML
Today, I was sitting in my bedroom relaxing when I heard my little sister and my brother. Thinking it was cute they were talking again, I was listening. They were not just "talking", they were making plans on how to kill me. FML
Today, my siblings overpowered me and duct taped me to a chair. Helpless, I had to wait until my dad got home so he could help me. Instead, the first thing he did was reach for his camera to take a picture. FML
Today, I decided to scare my 10 year old sister for fun. I hid behind a door and leapt out, shouting "Boo!" when she walked by. She burst into tears and ran screaming to my mom. My mom thought I'd hit my sister, and was so angry that she punched me in the eye. FML
Today, I woke up to my little sister strangling me. My parents accused me of making the red marks on my throat myself to exaggerate how bad it was. She's just "going through a phase", they say, and I'm a bad person for punching her to get her off me. FML
Today, my mom came into my room, yelling at me about a pregnancy test that she found in my bathroom. My mom wouldn't believe me when I said it wasn't mine. Turns out my sister bought the test, threw it under my bathroom cabinet, and now she won't admit to the prank. She thinks this is hilarious. FML

Parents like that? It doesn't matter how many times you show it, they will always defend the favorite. He/she needs to go to the cops or CPS or someone. This person can't live like this forever and hope one day that things'll change because they won't if he/she doesn't do anything about it.

Let me clarify that I am not promoting domestic violence among siblings. But if your sister is someone who relies on violence to solve problems then she is unlikely to accept other means of settling things. If your parents are unwilling to step in, then teach her the consequences of hurting someone. Perhaps if she feels pain she will come to realize the gravity of her actions and stop. Think about it, but please don't hope for someone else to solve the problem without taking action yourself.

Please reach out to a school counselor or other trusted adult. They could help you, give guidance, and possibly even help get through to your parents. It sounds like your sister needs some sort of help as well. Best to you, OP.

Unfortunately it's not that easy to do.. Even if you can get yourself able to do it to family(it's deserved but still difficult) you also tend to have family that will see you as in the wrong no matter what because they're your family. I've just threatened to call the cops on my brother if he harmed our dogs(he makes threats toward them even death threats) and I had people turn on me saying how it was terrible that I even threaten to call the cops on family.

Do you have a friend that you can stay with when your parents aren't around? If they don't care enough to believe you, doesn't seem like they'd prevent you from getting away from that situation. I wish you the best!

Not all houses have locks on bedroom doors. My house only has locks on bathroom doors and the front and back door to the house.
