Today, I vented to my friend about how unhappy I am and how I want to kill myself. What did she say? "Don't do that." That was it. FML
Today, my best friend actually had the audacity to try and one-up my suicide attempt story. FML
Today, I told my mom I loved her and she asked if I was going to kill myself. FML
Today, I was feeling suicidal and needed to talk to someone about it, so I called up the only person in the world who cares about me: my mom. Or so I thought. Her immediate response was, “You should go ahead and end it.” FML
Today, I opened up to my parents about my depression. Their response was to have a very heated discussion about whose fault it was. FML
Today, my friend needed to talk out bad feelings. Then she urged me to open up as well. I hate doing it, but it only seemed fair, so I confessed my deep insecurities. Not only did she agree with everything, but she also helpfully added that I'm boring, have no life, and all my dreams are unattainable. FML
Today, my best friend said we couldn't be friends anymore because I'm too depressed or too happy all the time. After explaining for half an hour what bipolar depression was and how I have it he just said, "Bullshit!" FML
Today, I was texting my friend. He has a history of depression, which we were talking about, and somehow, he turned the conversation to, "If we ever broke up, I would kill myself." I didn't even know we were even going out. FML
Today, I tried to tell my dad that I was really struggling with my mental health and didn't think I could stay alive much longer. He laughed. This comes after telling my "best friend" last week and having to wait three days for a reply. FML
Today, I was diagnosed with depression. My girlfriend's idea of consoling me was to break up with me because she can't date a "psycho". FML

A very dear man in my life committed suicide on Monday, 11/9/15. As someone trying to deal with his loss, I can guarantee you that you do need help instead of killing yourself and reaching out is an enormous leap in the right direction. I'm so very sorry that the person you reached out to was not a supportive one. Please continue to seek help, there are so many resources available and countless caring people out there to help. Don't let one person's negativity stop you from working toward feeling better.

Seek some help if you haven't. If you need a stranger to vent to feel free to PM me here as well. I know them feels all too well. As a side note I have a friend and we say extremely negative things such as "then kill yourself" to each other because it is our weird, dark, cynical sense of humor that makes it ok.
