Today, I asked my daughter if we could have a memorial table at her wedding for her baby brother who died 21 years ago. To my horror, she lost her shit at me and screamed she wants “one fucking night” to be about her and “not about him.” FML
I'm truly sorry for your loss, but you need to get therapy if you're constantly putting your daughter second to him. You have to focus on your living child.
She's 100% right. It's her very important life event, not an occasion for yet another acknowledgement of old pain. How selfish are you, Mom or Dad, to put your hurt above your surviving child, again?

Right. That's some sick ship to make a whole TABLE about someone who passed 20 YEARS AGO!

21 Years? Seek grief counselling, PLEASE. If that poor kid has lived her entire life in the shadow of her deceased sibling, then GODS do I feel sorry for her. Her reaction is entirely on you and how you've treated her entire life.
Have you just experienced an FML moment?

How selfish can one be? Your child is having a big life milestone and you want to have a table dedicated to a deceased child at HER wedding.
