Today, I woke up and rolled out of bed. I'm on the top mattress of a bunk bed. We have tile floors. FML
Today, I was very cold and tired, so I took a shower to warm up and went to bed. The minute I hopped into bed, it collapsed and broke. I have spent half-an-hour rearranging furniture to get the mattress on to the floor. Now I'm cold again. FML
Today, my boyfriend’s bed is so uncomfortable that even after six months of not seeing him, I’m sleeping on the floor so I can actually get some sleep. FML
Today, I sleep on the floor every night because my cat has punctured three air mattresses. I was going to get a real bed with my stimulus check, but I broke my leg and had to pay for the doctor's bill. FML

Today, I found out my brand new $3,000 mattress that is supposed to relieve my back pain works amazingly. I only discovered this because my wife, son, daughter, dog, and two cats are all asleep on it and not waking up. FML
Today, I woke up with a carpet burn. From sleeping. Alone. In my bed. FML
Today, I have been trying to stop sleeping during the day, so I decided to clean my room to keep myself awake. Four hours later, I woke up on the floor. FML

This. Soft mattresses are back pain waiting to happen. If a bed feels like I'm sinking into quicksand, I'd rather take the floor, kthx.

OP didn't actually say they liked it. Just that their bed is so awful that sleeping on the floor is actually more comfortable by comparison. Having a preference if forced to choose between two things doesn't really mean that you really enjoy either option.

I'm guessing your bed USED to be comfortable, and is no longer? If you don't have the money for one now, you could buy a roll mat or floor style futon, and sleep on that until you get a bed. It'll save space in the mean time too!

Having to sleep on the floor is generally not pleasant regardless of if it's preferable to an awful bed. Being somewhat sore is still better than being in agony, but that doesn't make being sore enjoyable.

You may want to try the time tested trick with mattresses of "flip it over and/or end wise" Honestly not sure how many people remember this these days.

okay... 90% of the world sleeps on the floor at best. this is not an fml, this is a whiny brat. buy a Japanese style futon on Amazon for 90 bucks and have the best bed you've ever slept on if you like somewhat firm sleeping conditions.
