Today, I met my fiancé's much older sister for the first time. Turns out she is actually my old high school English teacher who used to make me cry at least 3 times a week. It's been three hours and I've accidentally called her Miss Willow 4 times and been reduced to tears twice. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I met my mom's fiancé. He's a nice guy, he's also my wife's dad. I'll soon call my wife my sister. FML
Today, my daughter got engaged. Her fiancé is not only 25 years older than her, but was her teacher in middle school. FML
Oh, hai Mark
Today, I saw my older sister for the first time in three years. We hadn't spoke since I found out that she was the woman my college boyfriend left me for. Unfortunately, our reunion was fueled by her two-year-old son's desire to meet his dad. My husband. FML
Today, I was meeting my sister's fiancé. I went to an internet cafe before I went to her house for dinner with them. I was on a computer and there was this really attractive man next to me. I was flirting with him and we exchanged numbers. Turns out, he is my sister's fiancé. FML
Today, I was introduced to my future stepmother, but it turns out that I already know her. Not only are we the same age and went to the same high school, when we were in the same math class together the teacher would often confuse our names because "we could pass as twins". FML
Today, I met my sister's fiancé. I would have been happier for her if he hadn't been mine a month ago when I introduced them. FML
Hey!
Today, I learned who my dad's new fiancée is. Upon meeting her she exclaimed, "My, I haven't seen you in a while!" She's my ex-boyfriend's mom. FML
Today, my younger sister stopped talking to me. I got engaged to my boyfriend of 4 years and apparently, she's been in love with him since she met him. Through me. She's 12. FML
Frenemies
Today, we travelled back to England to meet my fiance's family. Turns out her cousin is a guy I hated from high school. I tried to be an adult, but we began sniping insults at each other like we used to. By the end of the night, we realised we actually missed hating each other and are now, ew, frenemies. FML
Patronising
Today, my dad married his fiancée, who insists I call her "Mom." I'm three years older than her, and went to the same high school. She's taking me shopping next week to buy me "something nice." FML

Grow up. Honestly, the amount of "woe is me." I am the victim tear fests I see disgusts me. If she was out right mean in front of you partner then she should have called her out, if its you that sees insult in everything & use the term depressed when you are only unhappy then your partner should run

I sure hope you don't see her much...and if needed only during the holidays...or maybe things will get better

I feel your pain OP. While I, myself have never cried due to a teacher, I can understand the lament you must be going through. But hopefully, when you get married, and she becomes a part of your family tell her to **** off, she can't do shit to you now.

That's really awful OP. Talk to your fiancé about it and maybe that will help. I've been lucky enough not to have teacher's who weren't really mean to me. Well my band director occasionally makes fun of me as he does with everyone else so It isn't a big deal. I've seen teachers make fun of students behind their backs and the students weren't even there to defend themselves. Administration doesn't help either. my friends had a big issue with one of their teachers and they all went to administration and nothing happened and the teacher didn't change. Teachers should be the one setting the example in the classroom and treating students with as much respect as the teachers expect to receive. It makes the class even more unbearable if teachers and students can't work together and it probably also effects a student's work effort. So sorry OP, I really hope things get better for you

Since her last name is Willow, I'd suggest you come up with a nickname to use for her. Something from nature, perhaps a tree that has these beautiful fuzzy buds in the springetime.....

To everyone saying OP is weak or childish because she cried - shut up. You clearly have no idea how these things can affect a person, well into their 20s. I graduated high school nearly six years ago and I STILL lie awake and think about the shit that happened. And sometimes I still cry over it. These things leave emotional scars which take a long, long time to heal. Sometimes there is no controlling it; if there was, people would not have panic attacks or flashbacks to past trauma, whether it be physical or emotional. To the people saying she should have gone to someone at school about the treatment - how many of you have been bullied? If you knew what it was like you wouldn't say that. Victims find it hard to speak up, for whatever reason: fear, embarrassment, shame, take your pick. I know this from my own experiences. Only one of my teachers knew I had been bullied and that was only because she found me alone, crying. I didn't speak up. I couldn't speak up. To the OP - I really hope everything works out okay for you. I'm sorry you have to go through that. Have you spoken to your fiancé about it? If the sister does not like you she should, at the very least, be glad that your fiancé has found happiness. Either way, I hope the situation works out fine and that you do not have to deal with her in the future. Hang in there, OP.

I'm so sorry that happened to you! It is even worse if it is a teacher bullying in some cases because they have more power. You are right - bullying scars. It damages.
