Today, I invited over 30 people to come to the park with me since the day was nice and cool. I sat there for three hours by myself. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Good friends
Today, I invited my friends to meet up at the park. After asking twice, I finally got the text saying to meet them there. But when I got there, I realized they had already been there for a while. As I was walking up to them, I heard, "Why did you invite him?" FML
Today, at my local amusement park, I decided it'd be fun to meet someone on the roller coaster by sitting alone and hoping that someone nice would sit next to me. I rode the roller coaster 7 times. I sat alone each time. FML
Today, it's my birthday and I'd invited quite a lot of my friends to come round and have some fun. When I got home, I saw a few cars outside. It turned out to be for the neighbours. I waited and waited; none of my friends showed up. FML
Saturday Night Fever-ish
Today, I invited a bunch of friends over to hang out and watch a movie. It's been two hours since everyone was supposed to turn up, and no one has showed. Thanks, friends. FML
Unloveable
Today, it was my second day of house-sitting. I was so out of my mind from not seeing people that I invited a bunch of friends over for dinner. I said I would pay for pizza and we could all hang out in the house. Even with an unsupervised house and free food, no one showed. FML
Today, my family and I went on a picnic in the park 45 minutes drive away from our house. I fell asleep beneath a tree. They left me there. FML
Paaaaaaarty!
Today, it's my birthday. I'd planned an outside party in my backyard, and I'd invited all of my friends. Only 2 of them showed up. It also rained today, even though it wasn't supposed to. FML
Today, my friends and I planned to go to a waterpark together. However, due to a "miscommunication," I, and only I, was given both the wrong time and the wrong meeting place. I spent three hours sitting in a parking lot in little more than my swimming suit. FML
Many such cases
Today, I organised a birthday party for myself. There was supposed to be about 20 people coming. Not a single person showed up. FML
Today, I went to an amusement park with my family. I was the only one who put on sunblock, and the only one who got a sunburn. FML

Well, you know what to do when you're at a park! Drink near a 4 year old's party. I think we found the full story.

OP is exaggerating it was probably more like three friends. YDI for waiting that long.

YDI for not making sure your friends were coming or picking them up.

Sending a text message and/or a Myspace bulletin does NOT constitute "inviting" people.

Agreed, or doing a facebook event thing. Had you CALLED them, you would know they would not be showing up, OP

How would a text message not count as inviting a person? If it was a mass that said "Hey, I'm at the park" then I can understand, but not if they say "Want to hang out with me at the park?"

Yes, but Mrs. Johnson's 3rd Grade class decided to decline the invitation of the creepy guy that was lurking just outside the schoolyard fence. Good call, kids.
