Today, I invited my friends to meet up at the park. After asking twice, I finally got the text saying to meet them there. But when I got there, I realized they had already been there for a while. As I was walking up to them, I heard, "Why did you invite him?" FML
Today, at my local amusement park, I decided it'd be fun to meet someone on the roller coaster by sitting alone and hoping that someone nice would sit next to me. I rode the roller coaster 7 times. I sat alone each time. FML
Today, it's my birthday and I'd invited quite a lot of my friends to come round and have some fun. When I got home, I saw a few cars outside. It turned out to be for the neighbours. I waited and waited; none of my friends showed up. FML
Today, I invited a bunch of friends over to hang out and watch a movie. It's been two hours since everyone was supposed to turn up, and no one has showed. Thanks, friends. FML
Today, it was my second day of house-sitting. I was so out of my mind from not seeing people that I invited a bunch of friends over for dinner. I said I would pay for pizza and we could all hang out in the house. Even with an unsupervised house and free food, no one showed. FML
Today, my family and I went on a picnic in the park 45 minutes drive away from our house. I fell asleep beneath a tree. They left me there. FML

Today, I organised a birthday party for myself. There was supposed to be about 20 people coming. Not a single person showed up. FML
Today, I went to an amusement park with my family. I was the only one who put on sunblock, and the only one who got a sunburn. FML

How much notice did you give them? If it was, like, earlier that day, they wouldn't have had time to reorganise their day around it. A lot of people might not be able to come up to something unless they are given at least a couple of days, maybe even a week, in advance. It depends on their situation: do they work? Have a family to look after? Have parents to answer to? etc. Pretty much only unemployed, single people living by themselves can really afford to drop everything just to hang out with someone on someone else's schedule.

Dude that sucks worse that my last birthday. I invited 25 but only one showed up. Worst part was my girlfriend at the time diched me. Better luck next time.
