Today, I helped my mom put away my baby sister's clothes. She's only a week old and has around 60 outfits. I have 4. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my sister asked if she could look through my closet to find something to wear. She is 6 months pregnant. FML
Serial skid marks
Today, my sister-in-law recently spend the night to hangout with my 7 year-old. She kept some of her clothes in his dresser. While doing laundry and sorting out clothes that no longer fit him, I found a pair of her shit-stained underwear shoved in the back of one of the drawers. She's in her 40's and this isn't the first occurrence. FML
Gifted
Today, I put all my clothes into two piles. One pile had clothes I usually wear, the other clothes I wanted to donate. When I was done, I put the piles into two jumbo trash bags. I came back a bit later and they both were gone. My mom donated both bags. I have no clothes. FML
Today, I found out where a few of my favorite outfits went. My mother had taken them out of my closet, wrapped them, and given them to my cousin as a gift. FML
Organization
Today, I cleaned my closet a few nights ago and my sisters decided to take all of laundry I'd folded for the family and threw it in the closet, instead of actually taking it to the rooms of who it belonged to. Nobody in the house can find their clothes, and I have to locate everything in a 3x4 foot closet piled to the roof. FML
Today, I learned that my mother counts my jeans as two pairs when she counts how many she's putting in for a load of wash. I've gotten that fat. FML
Today, my sister is dressing up as a nerd for Halloween. She's using my clothes for the costume. FML
Today, my sister is visiting. She used more toilet paper today than I have in two months. FML
Today, I was folding the laundry. At one point, I had to take a moment to figure out whether a pair of underwear was mine or my mothers. I'm 18. She is 56. Enough said. FML
Today, I took a shower and went to put clothes on after, only to find no clothes in my closet. My mom took them all and hid them. No idea why. No idea when I will get them back. FML

Well depending on how old you are, your parents expect you to buy your own clothes. For example, my friend and I have to buy our own jeans because we tear them up from skating.

Not necessarily. Have you ever been to a baby shower? Guests make it rain Onesies.

I got a ton of clothes when my daughter was born and I didn't even have a baby shower. If I did I'm sure I'd be swimming in clothes for her. Plus usually they give for ages newborn up to 12 months, since babies grow so fast. And unfortunately sometimes you need lots because babies like to shit up to their necks sometimes. Those are my favorite lol.

I second this. Chances are a huge amount of those outfits were bought by other people. If your mom had a baby shower than the amount of clothes they get is insane. Plus, a lot may have been some hand-me-downs from when you were a baby, or from some friends babies. I know that when my sister in law got pregnant for the second time she had friends offering boxes of hand-me-downs. A lot of times a parent knows they're not having another child and therefore won't need them again, and because baby clothes are worn for such a short amount of time, they're usually in great condition. And if the friends just had the babies in the past few years than the clothes would all still be in style.

Well most if them could have came from other relatives in the family. But they also figure older kids don't want just clothes.

Ohohoho noooo. I'm 17 and I love getting shirts and jeans. Of course, all of my clothes are band shirts and those can be expensive. (Going off on a tangent here, but its an example to help prove my point.) On Sunday I saw Iron Maiden live in Las Vegas. Shirts were 40$ a piece and 45$ if they were 2x and larger. Jackets were 100$ and a silk shirt was 60$. Basically, my point is when you are a metalhead, getting merch is amazing because that shit can be expensive, even if you are 17. I actually prefer to get clothes over other things.

Not just that, but a lot of the clothes were probably hand-me-downs. No one gives teenagers a bunch of hand-me-downs, and even if they did the chances of said teenager wearing them are probably slim seeing as each teenager usually has a certain style.

Its probably fair to guess that your baby sister was an accident. I'm tipping theres quite an age difference between you two, seeings as she's a week old, and you're old enough to post on FML. So you got that going for you, which is nice. On the other hand, when you were a week old, you probably had more outfits than you have now.

Any kid with a phone and the ability to type can post an FML

Big age difference between siblings doesn't mean that the youngest was an accident. Some parents decide later on they want another one. Also, OP could have other younger siblings.

There's 9 years between my sister and me. She wasn't an accident. My parents tried for years with no success until they finally had her. Your comment is rather ignorant.

Were many of your sister's clothes gifts off friends/relatives etc? Maybe that's why she has so many, still sucks though OP, especially as she will outgrow them quickly ?

Don't worry, it's probably the effect of novelty and everybody's taste for dressing up dolls. Just go buy some clothes.

Are you content with just four? If so, that may be all you need. No reason to keep up with the Joneses. Save your money for actual necessities. (But really, only four?)

Buying some clothes will be a more effective solution to this issue than whining about it on the Internet.

Yeah, there are no other factors in that. Like money or anything...

No money? Get a ******* job!

New babies tend to be a little spoiled, plus she would need the extra clothes since feeding and changing her would get messy

I think what probably happened here is she got your old baby clothes and family members gave a lot. It seems like whenever they don't know what to give they just get baby clothes.
