Today, I had to drive the guy I've been seeing for the past few months to the emergency room. So that he could witness the birth of his newest child. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I drove to the hospital to see my newborn. I went to the room, picked him out of the crate and held him. Then I heard the toilet flush and saw a woman who I didn't know come out. She screamed. My wife was in the room next door. FML
Today, I went and had my first ultrasound done. My husband said he had a meeting at work, and couldn't come. As I was leaving, I saw him at the doctor's office with another heavily pregnant woman. FML
Today, at the hospital I work at, I had to deliver my best friend's baby. I later found out that my ex boyfriend was the father. Normally this wouldn't faze me, but it did because we broke up last month. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I went to the doctor's for an ultrasound, as I'm 7 months pregnant. Then he went home and took his wife out to dinner for her birthday. FML
Today, I went to my dad's workplace because my sister was there and I wanted to see my newborn niece. I was overjoyed until my dad came up to me. It had apparently been pretty hectic for the past week, because he was on the verge of another stress-induced heart attack. Yes, another. We had to help him outside. FML
Today, I drove 600 miles to be with my boyfriend of two years for his uncle's funeral. He didn't want me to come because I am seven months pregnant and flying is dangerous in the third trimester. When I got there I don't know who was more suprised to see me: him, his wife, or their kids. FML
Today, I totaled my car whilst rushing to pick up my son from daycare. This happened as I was leaving the hospital, after dropping off a wheelchair to my recently disabled wife, who is taking care of our newborn in the special care unit. FML
Today, I gave birth to a baby girl. Where was my husband after the agony finally ended? Standing just outside the room, flirting with a nurse. FML
Today, I helped deliver the baby belonging to the woman my husband left me for. FML
Today, I was rushed to the hospital to deliver my child. On the way, I called my husband who was in a bar with his friends. Drunk, he just yelled, "BROS BEFORE HOS!!" and hung up. FML

So? It takes 9 months to grow a baby, you've been with him for a few months. That doesn't mean fyl, it just means he had sex 6 months prior to meeting you.

So? If you've only been seeing him for a few months, you probably knew that when you got into the relationship. If he lied to you by omission in not telling you, there's the FML.

Well dont call him a bad guy, because if you said a few months i assume you mean less than nine so it could have been a previous relationship and he mightve just found out that he has a kid, you never know.

You should actually RESPECT him for this! Why? Because (even though he knows there is a chance he could breakup with OP) he still wanted to be there for the birth of his child. If, in the future, OP and the Dad decide to marry and have children, she'll know that he is trying to be a good father and will be there for his kids. Don't be jealous (I'm not saying you are, but IF you are), be proud of the responsibility he is showing for his so far!!

It still doesn't validate her complaint. If you are that old and re entering the dating scene you should know more or less what you want in a person. At least definitely what you wouldn't want. So if she didn't want to date someone with a baby on the way she deserves it, even if you claim she didn't know, it's still her fault for not knowing her partner better.
