Today, I got several thumbtacks jabbed into me. Why? Because my cousin thought it would be a funny prank to superglue a bunch of thumbtacks to his nerf darts. My left forearm is still bleeding. FML

Today, a thumb tack came out of one of my posters on my wall. The sole of my foot had the pleasure of finding it. FML
Today, while joking with my coworkers about how I shouldn't be trusted with a stapler because I managed to accidentally staple my finger last week, I stapled another finger. FML
Today, I somehow managed to slice open my thumb. The dangerous weapon that caused this to happen? Velcro. FML
Today, I was trying to fix a broken desk fan. I'd taken the guard off and was trying to unscrew the blades, when my roommate decided it'd be funny to plug it in. The blades sliced into my thumb. I need stitches, and he still thinks it's hilarious. FML
Today, as part of my job as a performer, I had to show off my skills with a switchblade in front of an audience. A kid shot a rubber band at me. I then needed stitches. FML
Today, after work I came home to find my sons trying to use my tampons as Nerf darts. FML
Today, on my building site, I asked one of the guys to pass me a screwdriver. He threw it so hard that when I caught it, it stabbed into the meat of my finger and came clean out the other side. Now all the guys keep joking I got royally screwed. The jokes are worse than the pain. FML
Today, one of my kids thought it would be funny to superglue me to my armchair while I was asleep, except they’re idiots who used way too much. I am now fused to the cushions and had to call an ambulance. FML
Today, I accidentally stapled my finger to a piece of paper. It hurt, but I took it out and went to restaple it. I did it again. FML
Today, I painfully watched my doctor burn a hole in my nail to drain the blood underneath. This is the prescribed treatment for the injury of hammering your thumb. FML

There must have been a lot of pressure in his Nerf gun for the thumbtacks to pierce your skin enough that you were bleeding some time after the incident? Also, wouldn't the tacks cause problems for the darts, as well? My last Nerf gun could fit the darts in the chamber pretty snugly, but sticking anything to the end of them would have prevented them from fitting properly, not to mention the weight of the tacks disrupting the flight of the darts. I would like to see proof of this in action before I commit to agreeing your life "sucks".

I saw a video of someone shooting a beer can with a tack-tipped dart the other day. It pierced the can and then he shotgunned it. His story here definitely checks out. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a "trend" right now.
