Today, I got fired from my job. When I asked why, all that was said to me was, "We don't have to disclose that information, but you did nothing wrong. It's just not working out." FML

It's not you, OP, it's them. I hope you and the company can remain friends at least. However, they didn't deserve you and were probably employing other people behind your back.

You're better off without them, OP

This "just cause" situation in parts of the US makes no flipping sense to me to be honest. Were I live you can also be let go whenever the emplyer decides they don't need you anymore and I think that's their good right. Why should they be forced to keep an employee that doesn't work porperly just because they can't find a valid enough reason to fire him/her. Or why should they have to be afraid of getting sued everytime they let someone go. This is uper ridiculous? So I (as a normal employee myself) think that is a good thing. If I'm not working properly I deserve to be sacked. It's as simple as that. However if you are being let go you usually get a notice 2 month in advance and then you have certain rights. Like you get a couple of days off per month to go to job interviews and stuff. So I that's good as well.
