Today, I got a new cat for my birthday. It ate my bird right when we got home, then it ran away. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Late reaction
Today I bought a new cage, along with some toys, for my bird. I came home to find my bird had escaped its old cage. FML
Today, I came home to find that my sweet kitten had gotten out and dragged a bird inside, where he ripped it to shreds. I found the bird's head in my underwear drawer. FML
Today, my cat thought it was appropriate to bring a bird into the house at 4 a.m.; the bird thought it was appropriate to attack my mom. FML
Wakey wakey
Today, I was woken up by a bird screaming its guts out. My cat had somehow managed to catch a bird and bring it inside. My 9 a.m. morning began with trying to catch a bird in my own home. FML
Unloveable
Today, I adopted a cat, thinking it would make my life a little less lonely. Within an hour, the cat ran away. Not even animals want to be around me. FML
Today, my brother and I found a little bird that couldn't fly. While trying to convince my mom that it couldn't fly so we could keep it, I lightly tossed it in the air and it landed a few feet in front of me. Then my cat grabbed it and ate it. FML
Today, my cat loves to chase birds. In fact, he loves it so much, he ran out of the litter box mid-poop to chase one, forcing me to wipe his ass. FML
Flash, ah ah!
Today, a bird ran into my window. My overzealous cat ran at it like the Flash and smashed his face in the window. He yelped and ran away, then as I was running to see if he was OK, I slammed my face in the door jamb. FML
Apex predator
Today, after we finished making my 6 year-old daughter a net to catch an injured baby bird, when she went out to catch it she witnessed a stray cat catch and eat it. FML
Feral kitty
Today, a cat ran into the house and got cornered in my room. Animal control wasn't answering so I did what I could to try to lure it out. It proceeded to chomp down on my finger. Way to start the New Year. FML

Why wasn't your bird in a cage of some sort? Haven't you heard of gentle acclimating a pet to a new environment? Seems like you fault

Instead of you owning the cat, the cat has owned you.

That's sad, but why would you bring a cat into your home having no clue how the cat and the bird would act? Why would you bring a cat into your home when your bird wasn't safely locked in a cage? And if the bird WAS safely locked in a cage, why would you bring a cat into your home that was a lock picking ninja genius?

Sounds like a YDI, it ate a bird, did you let it outside on the first day?

To be honest, YDI. You need to take the necessary precautions for your bird and to make sure the cat doesn't get away.

Well, you don't pick the cat, the cat picks you...sorry, but obviously you weren't the right human for that cat...

I guess the bird didn't have nine lives. And the cat had to eat and run.

You obviously didn't know how to care for a cat and didn't deserve it
