Today, I was watching TV with my boyfriend, when a World of Warcraft commercial came on. He turned to me and said, "Yeah, I'd choose the Horde over you any day." FML
Today, my boyfriend dumped me because he said the relationship was too tough for him. When I asked for an example, he responded, "Like, I don't have enough time to play World of Warcraft." FML
Today, after six months of dating, my girlfriend decided to break up with me because my "obsession" of being on the computer and playing games all the time was cutting into "our time". She then told me to "get a life" and never wanted to see me again. She told me all of this on WoW. FML
Today, it became apparent that my boyfriend only showers when he levels up on World of Warcraft. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I broke up. He said it was because he wanted to 'do his own thing'. So gaming 24/7 like he has for the past two years of our relationship, then. FML
Today, my boyfriend broke up with me after 2 years of being together. The reason? I don't enjoy playing video games as much as he does. FML
Today, I realized that my husband has a video games addiction. I am currently pregnant; he brought us to the same country he's in so we can finally live together, only for me to witness him being glued to his laptop all day and all night playing WoW. He's forgotten I even existed. FML
Today, after weeks of my yelling, my boyfriend finally listened and got a hobby. Instead of getting into something sensible like martial arts, he chose tabletop gaming. Now I have to listen to hours of boring stories about pretend fantasy worlds, and admit to everyone that my boyfriend is a nerd. FML
Today, my husband quit his job as a university professor and picked up the graveyard shift at a rat farm so he could have more time during the day to play World of Warcraft. FML
Today, my boyfriend broke up with me. He said it was because his online gaming friends don't like it when I ask him to spend time with me. FML

Ultimatums never end well. I'm a girl who has been playing WoW for 3 years, and if my boyfriend gave me the same choice, I wouldn't pick him. Then again, I'm with someone who wouldn't make me choose. Everyone has things they love to do in their spare time, and just because you dont understand it doesn't make it bad. Either way, YDI. Find someone who you dont need to change.

When I first started dating my boyfriend of 7 months, he was a WoW player, and I was ok with that because I didn't feel like I had the right to change him when we'd only been going out a little while... Later he decided on his own that it wasn't something he wanted to be doing. You can't change people who don't want to be changed, if you make them do things they don't want to do, they will resent you.

One: Don't give ultimatums if you can't handle someone choosing the option you don't want. Two: I have a friend who's previous relationship was almost destroyed by WoW. Even as a gamer myself, I've lost a chunk of my friends to hardcore gaming. They refuse to do anything but game, sleep, and go outside only to buy soda and junk food with their parents' money. And if you're not in the garage for the LAN parties that last for months, they don't care about you. I'm not exaggerating. It sucks hard and I want my friends back. Judging by how long your relationship has lasted before now, I'm sure things have gotten incredibly bad when they weren't originally. That said, I'm sorry you had to lose him to a game, but ultimatum is still something you probably shouldn't have pulled out. Three: Then again, if he's just started to play just a little bit more than usual and you pull this? That's unreasonable and I wouldn't be surprised if every gamer told you to take a hike.
