Today, I found out why my history grade is so low: the kid in front of me takes my homework, writes his name on it, and passes it off as his own. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
You dingdong!
Today, I was copying an assignment from my friend and was feeling confident that I was gonna pass. I later found out I copied his name too, so the teacher failed us both. He won't talk to me now. FML
Today, I found out why my biology class TA, who takes the class alongside the other students, was always so eager to collect my work. Turns out, she's been erasing my name on my papers and writing hers in all semester. My failing final grade has already been finalized. FML
Today, I was a TA for a history class and the class was taking a test. About halfway through, I noticed one kid had a small piece of paper in his hand. I ran up the row, grabbed his test, and ripped it into four pieces. Then I took the note from him. It said "I believe in you, -Mom." FML
Today, my teacher called a friend and me out of class and told us we had been reported for plagiarism because our answers to a problem were nearly identical, and he said that I shouldn't have shared my work. This for an assignment where significant marks were awarded for collaborating with peers. FML
Today, as I went into my calculus class, the teacher announced that someone had received a negative grade on the test we were getting back. I laughed and said, "Which f*cker managed to get a negative?" Turns out I'm the dumbass. FML
Today, my little sister decided the best way to cheat on a test is to take someone else's test, scratch through their name in pencil, and write her name underneath. She starts high school next semester. FML
Today, I asked my friend to hand in my homework for me since I have tonsillitis. She thought it would be funny to draw a big heart on it with my teacher's name inside, which she then handed in. FML
Today, I took a final for my law class. As I was taking the test, I noticed the girl on my left copying off me. I wrote all the wrong answers on my sheet while writing the correct answers on my desk hoping she would copy the wrong answers down. I forgot to write the correct answers on my test. FML
Today, I asked my professor what happened to the assignment I gave him several weeks ago. Turns out he lost it, and graded me zero as a result. Now if I want a mark, he says I'll have to hand-write it all over again, but that I "probably shouldn't bother," because it was "a bit shit, really." FML
Today, I turned in my homework. Too bad I accidentally handed in the printed answer sheet I found online to copy from. FML

Tell someone. He could get expelled for something like that

Kill him. In a historically accurate sacrificial manner. Then you can demand top marks for your extra-credit project,

Unfortunately, the grading system says that if you do cheat you only get a zero on that paper, both the copier and the person who gave the paper

OP explain to them that he was stealing your homework unbeknownst to you.

Technically speaking, this isn't a case of copying. This would be a case of CHEATING/PLAGIARISM. Every school has severe punishments for plagiarism. Explain that you had no part in the kid's cheating, and prove (somehow) that the work is yours as opposed to his. In the future, use a pen to write your name on ALL pages. Go back to your teacher, AND ALSO talk to your principal about this, since this goes beyond simply one or two instances. Plagiarism is a serious thing. At the absolute least your teacher should offer you a chance to make up the assignments that were stolen from you.

This is the most efficient method yet. Permanently prevents plagiarism again AND gives you a mark boost. Win/win.

Yeah or type it up and watermark the sheet with your name. Or if you hand write it print some watermarked sheets before hand and use those

Take a page from history and hand him intentionally failing work. While he's trying to benefit from your Trojan horses, hand in your real work later.

l actually did that in a high school class. The teacher suspected some of the people around me of cheating off of my test (as I had one of the higher grades in the class.) Therefore, he instructed me to intentionally select the wrong answers on the next test to verify is suspicions. He was correct as several of the other students around me failed the next test. For those that were wondering; yes, I took the real test later. I did not get a free pass.

Sounds like you don't write your name on it, because even if he erased yours and put his, there would be some evidence and I hope your teacher would be able to notice that

some people write softly, others diligently erase.

Make two copies of your homework. One that's completely wrong, which he then takes and puts his name on, and one correct one, which you hand in after he does.

Always write in pen and put your name in multiple places. also if you can give your handwriting something unique so that the teacher would be able to tell its you or at least not him. Also talk to your teacher about it.
