Today, I finally lost some weight. Unfortunately, that's only because I had a testicle removed due to cancer. FML

Today, a customer that I've been waiting on for years came into the restaurant after a long absence. I said to him, "Hey man, it looks like you lost a lot of weight! How'd you do it?" He replied, "I got cancer." FML
Today, after I completely starved myself for a week and exercised every day in an attempt to lose weight, I instead gained 5 pounds. FML
Today, I had a doctor's appointment because I've recently lost weight. I'm already underweight, and I was concerned because the weight loss has been causing some other health concerns to worsen. My doctor's exact words of advice? "Eating food usually leads to weight gain." FML
Today, when my mother-in-law told me I was losing weight, my husband started laughing. FML
Today, I found out that I've been using a "Trick Scale" that my family bought to boost my self esteem so I'd think I was losing weight. I found this out at my physical, where I learned I have actually gained ten pounds. FML
Today, I found out my diet and exercise plan wasn't nearly as effective when it comes to weight loss as I had originally thought. It turns out what really accounts for all the weight I've been losing is tapeworms. FML
Today, and over the past six months, after 20+ years of habits aiming at not gaining weight and succeeding in doing so, I've suddenly LOST a lot of weight at 40 years-old due to bad circumstances. No matter how hard I try or how much I eat, my system just seems to have forgotten how to build fat. FML
Today, I noticed that I have gained enough weight to give me back boobs. FML

I'm so sorry to hear that OP. Cancer is truly horrible. But take heart, with modern medical science, cancer is no where near as bad as it used to be. It will be a difficult journey but if you stay strong, you will get through this and beat this thing!

My dad was diagnosed with cancer a little over a year ago, but he received treatment and has now been in remission for almost a year now. They have gotten much at treating cancer in the last few years, and you are much more likely to go into remission. I hope everything goes well for you OP.
