Today, I found out that what my husband meant by "we should try swinging" is "I really want to have sex with this one friend of yours, and if you so much as make eye contact with any guy I'm going to totally flip out and threaten to kill him and you." FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Hey good lookin'
Today, a "friend" mentioned that my husband was "yummy", then asked if she could "have a turn" with him. I left and went home, outraged. When I told my husband, he couldn't conceal his stupid horny grin, and immediately tried to initiate sex. Pig. FML
Nice try, Dave
Today, my husband’s been dropping hints he wants to open our marriage. When I got home, a couple of his coworkers dropped by "for drinks". They tried to initiate group sex and figured I just needed to be talked into it. I was so mad, I couldn’t throw everyone out fast enough, including him. FML
Needs and desires
Today, I found out my husband is a cuck. After explaining that I'm not exactly satisfied in the bedroom, we were thinking of ideas to spice things up. I suggested buying a few toys he could use on me. He immediately got mad, because he wanted me to find other men to screw instead. FML
Unreasonable
Today, my husband demanded I delete all my male friends/contacts except family members. All this because I texted one of my male friends, “Happy Birthday! Hope you have a good one.” According to him, “One thing leads to another then next thing you know you both are in bed fucking like rabbits.” FML
Chadvice
Today, my husband was giving marriage advice to a friend, while I eavesdropped. I heard, "You want more sex? Let her see you flirting with other girls. Sophia sees me tease a cashier or some shit, the second we get home, she's putting on sexy lingerie and fucking my brains out. It's magic." FML
I want more
Today, I’m worried that swinging might've ruined my marriage. My wife and I both agreed and we very much enjoyed ourselves. The problem is that the other woman rode me like a high intensity thrill ride roller coaster compared to the same old merry go round that is my wife. FML
Maddening
Today, my insanely jealous wife flipped out and made me promise never to hug any of my female friends or go to lunch with them, ever. It's "cheating." FML
Cruisin' for a bruisin'
Today, I showed my best friend proof that her husband was sexually harassing me. Now she's refusing to talk to me, and I can't let my own husband out of my sight, for fear that he's going to murder the guy. FML
Hiding something?
Today, my husband threw an epic tantrum about how “men are allowed to have female friends”, smashed stuff in the living room, for him to storm out and slam the door, making the house tremble. All I did was tell him that his friendship with his secretary made me uncomfortable. FML
Strange dynamic
Today, my husband has been texting women to see if he can go out on a date with one of them, just because I’ve befriended his friend and apparently, the movie and food I got with the friend was a first date, so now he wants to get even. FML

Maybe he actually meant the dance and you took it the wrong way. Btw, who in their right mind would agree in the first place? You kind of deserve it. The only speck of good news is that he's getting your permission to somewhat cheat.

She obviously agreed to it because she wanted to do it, she didn't know he was just wanting to cheat with permission and would be crazy jealous.

1) There is a difference between swinging and Swing. 2) Just because you don't agree with it doesn't mean others don't. Everyone has their own opinion on the matter. 3) Cheating is never acceptable. I honestly can't see how that is good news.

Some couples are into that and still have a healthy relationship. They don't consider it cheating, but it only works if both partners want and are allowed to do the same things.

1) calm thy *******, it was a lame joke. 2) I guess I should be apologizing for having a different opinion. LOLJKNOPE. 3) I seem to be a rare type of species that still believes in a one man one woman/one man one man/one woman one woman relationship. That's my opinion and I don't understand why get married if you want to swing, that's just me. If you want to be together forever, you'd risk sharing and them leaving you?

#11, actually if you get permission to cheat, it's not cheating anymore. Let's just call this "asymmetric swinging."

Somewhat cheat, I said. Only one party is following the new rules as the other isn't easily allowed to.

Speck of good news since she doesn't have to sit and ponder and sneak to find out that he's cheating. She already knows he deceived her with his new ideas, that's a short cut. And since he thinks only he can do it, it's like cheating. Seriously, I have to explain everything I write lolol. AGAIN, TO ME, swinging is like cheating.

26, I agree with you. While everyone has their own opinion on the matter, it doesn't mean everyone will agree or like that type of life style. I couldn't personally ever do it. It falls under the trust between OP and her husband, in my opinion. Her husband wants to cheat, tell OP, and OP is supposed to sit back and let it happen? I think OP will stand up for herself and leave him if he doesn't agree to different terms. I'm now wondering if he's already cheated, feels guilty, so now he's giving OP a heads up. And like how you thought it was for dancing (that you joked about), I thought maybe he was talking about a sex swing, which is also swinging.

cheating is a deception tho. pleople who swing or are polyamourous do it with the full trust of each other and a ruleset. i can understand your opinion as i am not entirely sure i would be happy with a poly relationship however if both parties agree it cannot be defined as cheating.

48, I thought the same thing about him somewhat giving into his guilt. If he was already cheating. If someone wants to be open minded like that, they wouldn't have reacted that way. Again, I shall reiterate that I said only he would be swinging, that to me is being a deceitful cheater. I guess everyone's concern was my lame joke and how I don't understand why someone would live in a relationship like that. That's just me. I never said it wouldn't work, I just don't agree with it. I hope panties have been untwisted now.

54, I was with a guy for just under a year. He was with a girl before me, who cheated on him for the 13 years they were together. They have a child together so every time they met up to exchange their child, he would get all pissy. He was mostly upset about how he gave in to try to do swinging with her, she said no, yet kept cheating on him. It's more of a control thing. And what happened when I was with him? He cheated on me with multiple women because he wanted to know how it felt as a cheater. WTF??? I left him immediately. He never once brought up swinging, he just went out and cheated. Each relationship creates their own rules and usually they work for the couple. Most of the time, a couple won't react to swinging as they originally thought; usually jealousy is the first problem. I never seen it work out any other way.

To be honest 26 I don't get it either. What happened to the concept of making love to someone your in love with. Especially if your MARRIED and made a commitment to that person. If you want to sleep with someone else then leave. I do understand it works for some people but personally I don't understand it. I don't want just sex with multiple people I want to be in a mutually fulfilling relationship (as I am in).

67 my comment was in reply to the one above yours and as such i didnt meqn to imply that swinging or polyamory was a fix to cheating. people cheat because they make mistakes or are selfish but a poly or swinging relationship is made with the full knowledge of both parties and is adjusted to accomodate the changing feelings of the parties involved. both your (ex)bf and ops bf sound like selfish jerksand i am sorry you both met guys like that.

Um a bit over the top.

Twilight might actually stand a chance against this love story.

he can't handle swinging.

he just wanted to cheat

Swinging floats some peoples' boats. I say if he wants to swing, let him swing. Just pitch him some papers. From a safe distance. Normally I'm not for being a "divorce now" kinda guy. But with that attitude, you need to get out of there OP
JoeGrant 12
I think you should leave him...

Sounds like you should meet one of his best friends :)

one word: divorce
icepick23 12
Swinging is great, but both people have to be into it and open-minded.
perdix 31
Tell your husband that the other guys can line up and take you doggy-style, so none of that jealousy-inducing eye contact will take place. Problem solved.

You are a smart man ;)

"So much as eye contact" meaning if she at LEAST makes eye contact, thats past eye contact

#41, I guess some people call it "the brown eye," so you may be right. Point taken.

Heaven forbid if she makes that brown "eye" wink-- It might cause him to "push it, push it, push it some more" Alalalala
