Today, I found out that the only reason my ex husband calls my son anymore, is to ask him to send him things on Facebook. FML

Today, I found out that I'm a dad. My ex from 8 years ago contacted me through facebook. I'm happy I have a kid, but apparently she only contacted me because she wants me to start paying child support, now her boyfriend who provided for them left. FML
Today, while creeping on my boyfriend's ex-wife’s Facebook, I found out that he used to call her the same nicknames he now calls me. FML
Today, I called my ex to ask if he could help with bills and buying some nice things for my son. He said, "Look, I'm not going to keep doing husband and father shit for a woman who won't marry me and a kid who isn't mine. Go call his dad." His dad is a deadbeat. He knows this. FML
Today, my son was on Facebook while he was supposed to be studying. He called me a liar and accused me of making up excuses to chew him out. How do I know he was online? He liked and commented on a video I posted. My son is a dumbass. FML
Today, Facebook told me I should reconnect with my husband. FML
Today, my father who left my family over 10 years ago and never contacted us or paid child support, poked me on Facebook. FML
Today, my wife’s ex-boyfriend sent me a message with a screenshot of her trying to get in touch with him. FML
Today, my ex-husband, who abandoned us after our son was paralyzed in an accident, contacted me to demand full custody because he found out that I got remarried. He doesn't want another man raising his son. FML
Today, I found out that because I'm a cop, my 5-year-old son thinks the only way he can contact me is by calling 911. FML
Today, I sent a Facebook friend request to my ex. This afternoon I notice that they had accepted, and had left a message for me in my inbox. Asking how they knew me. FML

I agree with Haley! (#63) There is a reason why he is your ex-husband, just be glad that he is. It is unfortunate for your son though. It would suck to have a father who had absolutely no interest in you, beyond sending him things on Facebook. One day, your ex might realize what he is doing to your son, but it might not be for awhile. That is really sad... Sorry, OP. You may hate the father, but at least you have your son. :) FYL

@79... it is his kid, it shouldn't be a bad thing to go out of his way to see his son and be a part of his life. I would do anything for my kids if it meant risking my life to make them happy. you obviously aren't a parent if you think that's ok of the dad, then you definately don't understand the love of a parent. and if you are a parent then you're probably not a very good one!

Their life is ****** because this is their kid. Their ex will never be the father their kid wants, and there's nothing as a mother she can do to make them become a better person. She can only be the best parent she can be, and it's sad that she has to do it alone.
