Today, I found out that I'm a dad. My ex from 8 years ago contacted me through facebook. I'm happy I have a kid, but apparently she only contacted me because she wants me to start paying child support, now her boyfriend who provided for them left. FML

Today, my ex started to talk to me again after 3 years. I've been in an amazing relationship for the last 2 years. She let me know she is taking me to court for child support. I didn't even know I had a kid. FML
Today, my ex-wife's kids, who I dumped alongside her and completely cut ties with when I found out they weren't mine, found me on social media. FML
Today, I found out that my ex is expecting another kid. Not only is this a man who tried to hook up with me last month, he's also the one who, when I asked him to pay child support for our two, told me that he could just "make some more". Guess he was right. FML
Today, to my horror, I discovered I will owe child support for the kids my ex and I adopted together since she couldn't have any. I've met someone else and I'm planning on having real kids with her, but these payments will destroy everything. FML
Today, I found out that my ex-husband just had a baby with his new partner. We only split up a week ago. FML
Today, I found out my ex-wife (who I have kids with) is now pregnant with another guy's twin babies. We have only been divorced a couple of months. FML
Today, I found out I have a daughter. How did I find out? She added me on Facebook. FML
Today, I learned who my dad's new fiancée is. Upon meeting her she exclaimed, "My, I haven't seen you in a while!" She's my ex-boyfriend's mom. FML
Today, my father who left my family over 10 years ago and never contacted us or paid child support, poked me on Facebook. FML
Today, after a few years of not feeling ready since my daughter born, I went to my ex's apartment to tell her I am ready to be a dad. Turns out she moved out, two years ago, and left me forwarding address for me. I tried calling her phone. The number was disconnected. FML

8 years ago? 1. It's probably a scam. DNA test or it didn't happen. 2. If she actually takes it to court, the fact she couldn't be ****** asking for 8 years might give you the upper hand. 3. It sounds like she's just combing through the past looking for some money, so she's probably poor. Poor people can't afford decent lawyers. (From memory a lawyer is only provided for free in a criminal case).

Well even though the b*tch of an ex blew you off for 8 years, you might wanna pay the child support. If you really care about the welfare of the child, and sueing her for custody or visitation rights might kinda f up the kid. Try to talk things through maybe? it really depends on the mother though. if she is scraping money together to buy groceries for her kid then I feel like asking for support is justified. but, if she's trying to get extra money for like a vacation or luxuries then she's a POS.
