Today, I found out that my son has been telling me he's gay so we would allow the "female friend" who is actually his girlfriend to stay over. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I found out that my son is not really gay. He just told me that so I'd let him have girls in his bedroom. FML
Bad thought
Today, I found out that my parents have thought I'm lesbian for at least a year. I now understand why my dad has been trying to get me to "hang out" with his co-worker's daughter. FML
Today, my son decided to come out of the closet by wearing a shirt that said "Mom, I'm gay" to the family reunion. FML
Today, I found out that the student tutor my son advised me to hire was my son's girlfriend. I have been paying her $20 an hour for the last 3 weeks to make out with my son in his room. FML
Misunderstood
Today, my son told our whole family and all our friends that I kicked him out for being gay. I kicked him out because on more than one occasion he got drunk and sneaked random men in the house while he was supposed to be watching his younger siblings while I worked nights. They believed him. FML
Get with the times
Today, I found out that my daughter is dating my boss's daughter. I found this out because my extremely homophobic boss told me and wants me to 'heal' them or get fired. I didn't even know my daughter was gay. FML
Mixed messages
Today, my neighbor confessed to me that he was homophobic and regrets that his family doesn't know it. He spent fifteen minutes explaining how much he would hate to have a gay child. I spent two hours last night convincing his son that it was the right thing to tell his family he was gay. FML
Denial
Today, at 18, I finally told my mom I was gay. She spent the rest of the day bringing up my "future wife" at every possible chance she had. FML
What are you doing here?
Today, I found out the man I have been dating is my son’s principal. I found out by having to pick my suspended son up from school. FML
Who does that?
Today, my son got angry when he came out as gay and my husband and I told him that we loved him no matter what. Turned out he wanted us to reject him so he could have a sob story and make people feel sorry for him. FML

This sounds like some sort of millennial soap opera.

We will be aware of the genes we pass on. Intelligent. Conniving.

This was actually a plot point in the US TV series SIRENS.

It was the whole theme of “Three’s Company!”

This bothers me because of the struggles that young people who truly are gay often have to go through when they come out. Your son using it as a tool in order to (assumably) have sex with his girlfriend is very insensitive.

He is a horny teenager, I doubt he really cares about much beyond getting off.

Im gay and idgaf about this. He knew his parents wouldn't shun him. I had no idea about my family. I would say that is progress at least somewhat.

Try not to let it bother you. This is great progress. The boy knew his family would support him, he knew he could safely “pretend” to be gay ... when I was in High School neither of these things were even remote possibilities.

This is what happens when the stigma against being gay becomes less than the stigma against teens having sex

assumably isn't a word.

No matter the FML. There always has to be a triggered millennial...

Maybe he’s testing the strength of his gayness. If you want biological grandchildren, you should root for his “friend” to succeed!

Well that's clever.

This sounds like an episode of two and a half men...

Who ever said he wasn't allowed to have a girlfriend? Calm down, dude.

LOL genius. One of my favourite parts of being a lesbian was never being questioned or having any suspicion about staying over at my girlfriend's houses. He reversed it.
