Today, I found out that my estranged daughter has been married for five years. I wasn't told of or invited to their wedding, and the only reason I know now is because she needs money for a divorce lawyer. FML

**** that. Divorce is for the weak. And money doesn't come easy. **** your daughter, she's a money hungry bitch.

At least you get the last laugh, sucks about the family problems though. I wouldn't give her the money, if she's old enough to get married, she's old enough to make her own cash.

Doesn't matter who she is! If she can't call or be in someone's life without asking for a hand out....then do I really need to say more? She is using the OP at this point! Child or no child, they need to handle their own problems! Now if they were talking, being a family etc. then by all means help....but that isn't the case here!!!

Don't give it to her. She won't appreciate it.

You are a parent, not a money jar! It's possible yours and her fault of being estranged. But trying to get contact only for money is awfully wrong...

Well she can get it the same way she got the money for her wedding: without you.

Don't invite her to your funeral or tell her she gets anything in the will. That'll even the playing field up a bit.
