Today, my daughter-in-law revealed to me that she caught my husband having an affair with her best friend. This was five years ago, and she is only telling me now because he stopped paying her the blackmail money to keep her mouth shut. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I found out that my estranged daughter has been married for five years. I wasn't told of or invited to their wedding, and the only reason I know now is because she needs money for a divorce lawyer. FML
There's gold to be mined
Today, I found out that my husband has been seeing another woman and my 16 year-old daughter once caught them while I was at work. She didn’t tell me about it because she was enjoying all the hush gifts, shoes, purses, and the payments for her BMW X3. FML
Today, I found out my wife has been bribing my daughter to keep quiet about her affair with my boss. That would explain the iPhone 4S, the $500 shoes, the $200 purse, and the professional $300 haircut. They told me it was because she had straight A's. FML
Today, I found out that my wife has been having an affair with the guy who's been trying to get our relationship back on track. FML
Today, I found out that my girlfriend has been cheating on me. I also found out that my best friend knew about it all along. When I confronted him, he tried to justify the betrayal by saying that she paid him to keep quiet. FML
Revelations
Today, I received a text from a man my wife had an affair with, in which he stated that my 18 year-old daughter is biologically his. He then sent me pictures of her that my wife had sent to him. FML
Today, my husband came clean to having an affair with my sister. I later found out my other sister encouraged the affair because she thought they'd be a cute couple. FML
Today, my husband and I sat our 10-year-old daughter down for a chat over her recent cursing. When my husband asked where she'd heard the words, she "innocently" replied, "from mommy's other boyfriend." He took her seriously, accused me of cheating, and hasn't been home since. FML
Today, my husband admitted that he's been spying on me for the last 5 years to see if I was cheating, out of paranoia brought on by his own cheating for all 5 of those years. FML
Black balled
Today, my wife somehow found out that my "surprise bonus" from earlier this year was actually hush money from my boss to keep quiet about her affair. Rather than let a good thing alone, she threw a fit and called my boss's husband. Now I'm jobless, and my boss has sworn I'll never work in my industry again. FML

you have a daughter in law from hell.
fthislyfe 22
It was FIVE YEARS AGO! And your husband cared enough to pay her the blackmail money. Isn't that sweet?
YourEvilHero 12
maybe not a divorce, but hopefully he feels really bad about it and you two can sort things out.

At least he hasn't cheated since then, you hope!

She just wanted you guy's relationship to work out, she was thinking longevity. Plus that prada bag that she's been sporting. Actually this is a win win.

Y'all are pretty naive to think that was the one and only time he cheated in five years.

Poor, poor fthislyfe. Clearly you're unaware that only 3 or 4 people are allowed to use sarcasm, and/or logic/reason, on this website. I hope the stern thumbs-downing teaches you another valuable lesson about pack-mentality.

Doesn't necessarily mean he's still having an affair considering it was 5 years ago he was caught. Still doesn't make it right but it's better to find the truth then hide from it.

With the economy the way it is he made a sound financial decision. He'd probably save more with a divorce than blackmail payments.
Hockey_fan 0
He probably thought "...is she worth it?"
Hockey_fan 0
SORRY, that was to harsh
ninjaniki 0
not at all. I'm sure he definitely thought those exact words when he decided to stop paying the blackmail money.

I mean, 5 years of black mail money is allot of Ca$h
ninjaniki 0
I guess it depends how much it cost for his daughter-in-law's silence. ..and how much he valued his marriage.
Hockey_fan 0
I think marriage is priceless but I guess this guy doesn't
ohSNAPyall 27
...or maybe he's out of work and could no longer afford her silence. Or maybe the guilt was eating away at him, and he was planning to tell OP himself.

Either way five years of paying blackmail money when he didn't have too, no matter the amount, shows that this guy wants to be with his wife.
Killerturtle 11
5 years with blackmail money. Am I the only one who is extremely curious about how much she got?
touch_the_sky 7
I was wondering the same thing, haha.
GrammaticalNazi 2
Well the OP was surprised when her daughter-in-law pulled up to the house to tell OP about the cheating husband in a new Ferrari.
nitram0606 0
The cheating husband was in a Ferrari. Ironic, someone named grammar nazi doesn't use commas correctly. LoL
GrammaticalNazi 2
102 - Unfortunately, there was no irony in your incorrect correction of my original comment :(
xcarxcrashx 9
Sorry 76/102. 103 is totally correct. You've got the cheating husband in the Ferrari not the douchbag daughter in law. Grammar Nazi you are not my friend.

Daughter-in-law's best friend? Niiice...
cheekyterier 13
Wouldn't a daughter-in-law be a step daughter?
