Today, I finally thought that my mother was okay with me being a lesbian. Then, over dinner, she turns to me and says, "So, do you still think you like girls, or are you going to start being normal again?" FML

Today, my mom called me into the living room to say that she had something important to tell me. She then explained how she and my dad had "talked things over" and wanted me to know that they accept me and love me no matter what. Apparently my mom thinks I'm lesbian. I'm not. FML
Today, I told my mom that I’m a lesbian. She was fine with it, supported me 100%, and it was a huge relief, until she followed up with, “Until you find a husband, then you’ll obviously have to stop all that.” The reason I even told her is because my girlfriend just proposed to me, and we’re engaged. FML
Today, after having a long talk with my mother about LGBT rights, she told me that she was totally open. I felt completely relieved, being gay myself. Seconds later, she said, "But not for you. I want you to find me a nice girl that can give me lots of grandkids." FML
Today, at 18, I finally told my mom I was gay. She spent the rest of the day bringing up my "future wife" at every possible chance she had. FML
Today, my mother urged me to "get over this lesbian thing and give me some grandkids." In front of my girlfriend of eleven months. FML
Today, I found out that my mother has been telling everybody that I’m a lesbian, because both of her best friends have at least one gay child each, and she was feeling left out. This explains why people have been treating me differently the last few weeks. FML
Today, I finally worked up the courage to tell my mom that I'm gay. She sympathetically patted my back and told me I don't need to make up excuses for me being so unattractive to women. FML
Today, my mom tried to convince my dad that I was a lesbian. Why? Because she was bored. FML
Today, my mum decided that me being bisexual meant that I was "deciding whether or not to be a lesbian" because supposedly, no man will have me. Thanks mum. FML
Today, I came out to my parents as lesbian. Surprisingly, they were OK with it… just as long as I still marry a dude, give them grandbabies, and keep the whole lesbian thing a deep, dark, shameful secret that we never talk about again. FML

oh my god I know how you feel. I came out to my mom recently and got me kicked out of the house so I live with my grandparents. she called me the other day and was like "so have you changed your mind yet? " and I said "sorry mom I'm with my girlfriend. I'll call you later". Just hang in there. :) you got this.

what I dont get about all the hate mongerers out there is that they seem to think a person's sexuality is a choice. But its part of who you are just like your hair or eye colour, you can only hide it (kinda like dying your hair or wearing contacts) but you cant get rid of it. It's always gonna be there underneath and showing it makes you more beautiful than ever. and plenty of straight people chose not to have children, I know I wont be. so why is the child thing a problem? theres plenty of unloved parentless children that need loving carers out there so why does it matter if the people that adopt them only have one gender between them?

Okay, if homosexuality is a choice, then that means you can choose to like men, women, or both. So that means I can choose the other things i like/dislike, like music, movies, art, ect. The fact that I dont like rap is because I chose not to like it. It absoloutly has nothing to do with the way my brain functions to make me dislike it. I dont like certain movies, not because they sucked, but because I chose not to like em. Maybe I can choose what food I like and dislike too... People 1, need to realize it isnt a choice (if something that major is a choice, why cant the things I mentioned earlier be choices as well?), and 2, need to grow up and stop following all the advice in a book written over 2k years ago (written back when people werent as smart and didnt have an understanding of the simple things we know today) Hm..that guy likes other men, so he must be bad. I don't totally agree with you but I do see what you mean when you say the bible was written 'like 2k years ago' (it was more like 4k.. Just sayin) it was deffinately less common, but it was God that said it. That still doesn't give anyone to shove religion down someone's throat and tell them how awful they are because they are something that they can't control! That's like saying of you have red hair you have no soul or if you have blonde hair you are stupid. You don't have any control over your sexuality, hair color, we color, ect.

To #95 I totally agree being gay is hip as shit. Whenever I see a gay person getting bullied I am so envious of that gay person. And being oppressed never goes out of style either. Besides if Homosexuality were a choice you would think that a lot less of them would have chosen that path in Nazi Germany when they were rounded up and put in death camps like Auschwitz by the million. Jews only accounted for half the fatalities.

Since when is love involved in children? I plan to raise them so that my name is not harmed. They will be just as intolerant as me (If I raise them right!) and will look down their noses at undesirables. @lmmmr: I intend to have at least 5 children.
