Today, my mom called me into the living room to say that she had something important to tell me. She then explained how she and my dad had "talked things over" and wanted me to know that they accept me and love me no matter what. Apparently my mom thinks I'm lesbian. I'm not. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Coming out
Today, I told my mom that I’m a lesbian. She was fine with it, supported me 100%, and it was a huge relief, until she followed up with, “Until you find a husband, then you’ll obviously have to stop all that.” The reason I even told her is because my girlfriend just proposed to me, and we’re engaged. FML
Denial
Today, at 18, I finally told my mom I was gay. She spent the rest of the day bringing up my "future wife" at every possible chance she had. FML
Uh oh
Today, after having a long talk with my mother about LGBT rights, she told me that she was totally open. I felt completely relieved, being gay myself. Seconds later, she said, "But not for you. I want you to find me a nice girl that can give me lots of grandkids." FML
Today, I finally thought that my mother was okay with me being a lesbian. Then, over dinner, she turns to me and says, "So, do you still think you like girls, or are you going to start being normal again?" FML
Today, my mom told me that she heard me and my best friend in my room grunting and talking about how hard we were. She said she loved me and accepted me no matter what. Thanks mom, but we were working out. FML
Today, I finally worked up the courage to tell my mom that I'm gay. She sympathetically patted my back and told me I don't need to make up excuses for me being so unattractive to women. FML
Today, I learned that despite having told them two years ago, my parents still aren't accepting of me being gay. I found this out when my mom called and asked if I was "cured" yet. FML
Today, I came out to my mom as a lesbian. She told me that it was impossible, because since she isn't one, she therefore couldn't have given birth to one. She still won't believe me. FML
Keeping up
Today, I found out that my mother has been telling everybody that I’m a lesbian, because both of her best friends have at least one gay child each, and she was feeling left out. This explains why people have been treating me differently the last few weeks. FML
Today, I came out to my mom. I had an epic speech planned, and when I tried to tell her, it all fell apart and I started crying and just said, "I'm gay." After a few seconds silence, my mom sighs and says, "Duh." FML

You better tell them lickety-split that you're not actually a lesbian.

OP, you could just have sex with a guy in front of them. Prove you're straight and scar them for life at the same time. Jk, don't do that. When you get a bf just kiss him in front of them, matter settled.

Or she could go with it.... Extra sympathy right?

I love that show! Also, my dad once thought I was too. I went through a HEAVY tomboy phase for about 3 years (and I suppose that meant I was lesbian). My dad bought me summer dresses for every gift giving occasion. I guess he was relieved when I grew out of it and got my first boyfriend. OP, at least your parents were supportive. It's better than them not being supportive and you being a lesbian.

Just say "thank you for being supportive mum, but I'm not lesbian. It's good to know you'd still be there for me if I was."

That's what I said, they still seem to think I'm gay. Don't worry about it OP - if they still love you and you're comfortable with your sexuality it would seem no harm's been done.

Look at the bright side, they still love and support you regardless.

It's ok. My parents think I am too. Just makes it easier to sneak out with guys.
Duckzy 16
Have them walk in on you 'accidentally' watching **** with guys in it.

That sounds like an incredibly embarrassing and difficult solution... Go for it, OP.

you want her to get killed?

Could be the other way around - that they're in denial of you being gay - but regardless, that sucks. Did she at least give an explanation?
