Today, I dropped my kid into a crowded wishing fountain instead of a coin. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, while at the vending machine, I put in my $20 instead of my $1. I got my change back in quarters. FML
Today, I dropped my wallet and it fell into the perfectly sized hole in the storm drain. FML
Today, while coming out of Walmart, I dropped a $50 bill. Some kid came running up after me yelling, "Hey mister, you dropped this!" as he ran past me laughing. FML
Today, I accidentally kicked a child down a set of steps. I work in a kids play area. FML
Today, I dropped my trash into what I thought was a garbage can. My co-workers stared at me like I had just pissed myself. It was a toy collection box for children in foster care. FML
Today, I dropped my keys in the sewer. The spare ones are inside my locked car. FML
But… why would you do that?
Today, I drank water from a random, half-full water bottle I found inside a bumper car (AKA dodgems) at the local fairground, thinking it was mine. It wasn't. FML
Today, after creating a swear jar for my son, I came back to find a $20 bill in it and him saying, "How much does that buy?" FML
Today, after buying dinner from the supermarket, I had the change in my hand, and my wallet. In the parking lot, a quarter fell out of my hand, and right next to the street drain. As I went to pick it up, my wallet fell down the drain. FML
Queasy
Today, I tried being the 'cool parent' by taking my kids to a fancy, expensive amusement park, but ended up getting stuck on every ride and getting motion sickness. FML

I can see how that would happen, a coin and a small child are similar in shape and size. /s

Reading this FML at 2 am, my first thought was OP picking up a 12 year old boy and throwing him in a fountain. Let's just say my second thoughts were a little more rational.

That's going to be the luckiest kid ever with all his/her wishes coming true (...apart from this 'incident' of course )

Must have been a major wish you had, to make a sacrifice like that.

Was it your first born? And a son? You get one mega wish for that combo.

At least it wasn't your phone...then you couldn't go on FML!

I can see how you'd get the two mixed up
