Today, I decided to ask my girlfriend of 3 years to marry me. I made brownies with walnuts and put an engagement ring into the brownie I gave her. Not only did she choke on the ring, but on the way to the emergency room, I find out she is highly allergic to walnuts. FML

Either she swallowed the brownie whole, or your diamond wasn't sparkly enough or big enough to see! It's your fault either way (: - S.

First, putting an engagement ring in food is NEVER a good idea. Second, if you must do food, never include anything thats a common allergy...like nuts... Third, why the hell wasn't the ring more visible? fourth, how the hell did she not recognize walnuts if she's allergic to them!?

3 years and you don't know her allergies? Ok, wow. And it's never that great of an idea to put engagement rings in food. So did she say yes?

#185 - all the reasons why it is fake!

Wow man, tough break, but if you didn't know she was allergic to walnuts after three years....get to know her a little better.

giving you a "you deserved" on this one why? Because if you've been dating someone for three YEARS you'd think you'd have figured out the little things like ... oh, perhaps what foods can kill the person you love. I mean really, three years and you didn't know she was allergic to nuts?

3 years andyou didn't know that? i wonder if she knew. most people with highly reactive allergies carries an epipen with em at all times.
