If you or someone else (not your parents) bought it for you, fyl. When your parents get the money, get 'em to pay you back or buy you a new one. If your parents bought it, well.. As my parents say, If they bought it - Its theirs. They just let me use it.

Sell your dad's car for guitar money. My friends band the cheapest instrument, besides a mic is a $600 bass and between the two guitarist their guitars range from $1500-$3000 without all the modifications they made to them. So IRS a fair trade especially if your dad has an old car.

Holy.... Ok, idk what kind of guitar you have (*cough*HAD*cough*)... but I have two Inanez guitars, and my buddy has an Ibamez and a Schecter Oman-7... and I'm pretty sure ether of us would have punched our dad rite in the face if he were really serious......!!!!! >8C
