Today, at work, the janitor would not stop telling me how good I looked. This was after he told me he was fired for sexual harassment at his last job. He clearly learned that lesson. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was cleaning at work when an elderly gentleman walked towards me, paused, and with a wink said, "That's what I like to see: a girl on her knees." This is the same workplace where another old man informed me that my yellow uniform made me look like a "suggestive cheesecake." FML
Today, my boss found out I had applied for a much better paying job. He told me I'd do a better job and make more money there. Then he fired me. FML
Today, I told my supervisor how awful my coworker was at her job. I then got fired. FML
Promoted!
Today, I walked in on my boss masturbating in the supply room of our restaurant. I pretended I didn't see him and quickly closed the door. About five minutes later, he came out, cupped my face in his hands and told me I was getting promoted. I'm happy, but scarred for life. FML
Red flags
Today, at work one of my co-worker was oddly nice to me; and my boss, who usually always says hi to me, didn't look or speak to me. Later that day I found out that I was going to be fired, not because my boss told me but because my picture was missing from the wall of employees. FML
Objectification
Today, at a job interview, my interviewer bent forward and I admired his ass. When he turned, I couldn't tell if he caught me or not. At the end of the interview he shook my hand in congratulations of getting the job, then said, "Yes, I do work out." I have to see him every day now. FML
Tactical
Today, I got fired from work. Why? I finally took a stand for myself and confronted my coworker of writing things up in my name for herself, and it getting deducted from my check. So she went to the manager and accused me of sexual harassment. FML
Today, I quit my job so I wouldn't have to work with this one complete fuck-wit anymore. I told him what I thought of him, and then walked away giving him the middle finger. Turns out, he is a regular customer at my new job. Everyone loves him and thinks he's awesome. FML
Wankers!
Today, I visited a friend at work with a couple of other friends. We like to play pranks, so we went to his register and started loudly discussing our masturbation habits as a joke. Some bitch complained, and his boss fired him and kicked us all out. FML
Today, I was fired from my job. My boss turned to everyone and said, "Allow me to escort this trash out of the office." Everyone cheered. FML

Report him, maybe it takes a few more times for this guy to understand that harassment is not okay.

Except thats not sexual harassment

14 did not use the term "sexual harrassment," she just said "harassment." If someone makes comments to you repeatedly, regardless of content, that's pretty harassing. Harassment is annoying or bothering someone constantly or repeatedly, and judging by the fact OP made this FML, she clearly feels annoyed.

If it's really bothering you, tell someone
Brandi_Faith 34
If it's really bothering you, tell him! People need to tell someone if they're making them feel uncomfortable. It's not like you're going to make the relationship any more awkward by telling them, the relationship is obviously awkward and uncomfortable anyways.

I agree that if someone says you look good or compliments you then it's not sexual harassment. I also think it's important to tell someone if what they're saying makes you a bit uncomfortable. But it says that the janitor kept saying it, which turns into a bit of an issue. Plus, people need to take a hint and pick up on social cues! If you say someone looks really hot and they're embarrassed or flustered, don't keep saying it cause it obviously makes them uncomfortable. Don't flirt with someone unless they blatantly reciprocate. It's not that hard to tell if someone likes what you're saying or is uncomfortable by it.

Are you a pupil OP? If you are, this would make this so much worse.

Well he did just tell her he was fired for sexual harassment at his previous job. I don't think she would have taken the compliments as sexual harassment had he not just told her about his history of it.

I've been in a similar situation, it's best to report him now before things get out of hand again. Even though he's starting small now, you don't want to give him the impression that you think that's ok and that he can try to go further. Hopefully he'll leave you alone after that :)

Oh, you've been complimented before? I fell so much sympathy for you! I know those compliments must of been very damaging to you! (Blue text)

It doesn't matter how far someone goes, if a woman is uncomfortable they need to speak up. With all of the sexual harassment going on we have to be a lot more careful. Compliments progress to touching, touching progresses to inappropriate touching, and then progresses to rape. I'm not saying that happens all (or even most) of the time, but it does happen and if you let a man think that's ok when you're uncomfortable then it will only get worse. If you can't understand why OP is uncomfortable after someone who got fired for sexual harassment is hitting on her, then you're a dumbass.

I never said it didn't also apply to men, of course it does. But if I'm referring to OP's situation, since she is a female I'm referring to women. So if people could stop putting words in my mouth, that would be great. And again, you're looking from a general perspective. I am looking at this situation, in which OP has every right to be uncomfortable because some guy who has gotten in trouble with sexual harassment is hitting on her. She should be extra careful to make sure he doesn't do it again. Compliments are ok, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't look out for yourself. That's like saying a registered sex offender complimenting your child's appearance. Is it ok? Yes, in hindsight, but it'd be a little creepy, too.

Telling somebody they look good isn't sexual harassment unless they use vulgar terms

What is going on in Michigan today? Lol
