Today, at work, the janitor would not stop telling me how good I looked. This was after he told me he was fired for sexual harassment at his last job. He clearly learned that lesson. FML

Today, I was cleaning at work when an elderly gentleman walked towards me, paused, and with a wink said, "That's what I like to see: a girl on her knees." This is the same workplace where another old man informed me that my yellow uniform made me look like a "suggestive cheesecake." FML
Today, my boss found out I had applied for a much better paying job. He told me I'd do a better job and make more money there. Then he fired me. FML
Today, I told my supervisor how awful my coworker was at her job. I then got fired. FML
Today, I walked in on my boss masturbating in the supply room of our restaurant. I pretended I didn't see him and quickly closed the door. About five minutes later, he came out, cupped my face in his hands and told me I was getting promoted. I'm happy, but scarred for life. FML
Today, at work one of my co-worker was oddly nice to me; and my boss, who usually always says hi to me, didn't look or speak to me. Later that day I found out that I was going to be fired, not because my boss told me but because my picture was missing from the wall of employees. FML
Today, at a job interview, my interviewer bent forward and I admired his ass. When he turned, I couldn't tell if he caught me or not. At the end of the interview he shook my hand in congratulations of getting the job, then said, "Yes, I do work out." I have to see him every day now. FML
Today, I got fired from work. Why? I finally took a stand for myself and confronted my coworker of writing things up in my name for herself, and it getting deducted from my check. So she went to the manager and accused me of sexual harassment. FML
Today, I quit my job so I wouldn't have to work with this one complete fuck-wit anymore. I told him what I thought of him, and then walked away giving him the middle finger. Turns out, he is a regular customer at my new job. Everyone loves him and thinks he's awesome. FML
Today, I visited a friend at work with a couple of other friends. We like to play pranks, so we went to his register and started loudly discussing our masturbation habits as a joke. Some bitch complained, and his boss fired him and kicked us all out. FML
Today, I was fired from my job. My boss turned to everyone and said, "Allow me to escort this trash out of the office." Everyone cheered. FML

It didn't specify WHAT kind of things he was saying. It just said he said she looked good. Maybe he said it in a very sexual way that made her uncomfortable

Because if it makes the other person feel Uncomfortable, how you intended it does. not. matter. you caused them discomfort and you need to deal with the consequences of your actions.

A lot of it isn't that people don't want the compliments, they just don't want them from that person who they consider below their standard. It's like fishing, you put on your lure, cast, and next thing you know you got a bastard sand shark on the line, now you gotta deal with that because cutting your line is a total dick move and you only eat fancy fish. You catch 3 sand sharks in a row, then very likely that third needs to be punished.

8, Then anybody could just say that anything someone said made them uncomfortable, and get people fired just because they don't like them. I agree there needs to be a definite line, I don't think just off-handedly saying "you look good today" should be taken as sexual harassment, but based on how OP said the janitor would not stop saying it, I think it could be taken that way.
