Today, it was the first time I ever saw a vagina in person. It was during medical school training on how to do a pelvic exam. FML
Today, I was at the doctor's getting a pap smear and she asked if it was alright if a doctor in training could come in to observe. I was already laying on the table with my feet in the stirrups, so everything was in plain sight. When the man came in to observe, I looked up to see my brother-in-law. FML
Today, I was lucky to have an extremely attractive doctor operating on me. This would have been great had he not been removing a foreign object from my vagina after an ill-fated masturbation session. FML
Today, I found out the test for a yeast infection is a vaginal exam. I've never had a deeper understanding of my own asexuality than in the moment a stranger, with another stranger as a chaperone, was poking at my intimate parts while I couldn't see what was going on. FML
Today, I went to the physician to check my rear because it was hurting. My usual doctor wasn't available, so he was replaced by a gorgeous woman with big cleavage. when she asked me to pull down my pants, she saw that I had a huge hard on. FML
Today, my gynecologist was having trouble with my exam due to me being "too tight." I'm 24. After the explanation of having been pretty inactive in over a year, she exclaimed, "Damn, girl, we really need to find you a boyfriend!" Yeah, tell me about it. FML
Today, at work as a gynecologist, I called in my last patient of the day. As soon as I took a peek, I noticed that she had stuck googly-eyes above her vagina. She told me with a straight face not to be afraid, because "She doesn't bite." FML
Today, after years of faking pleasure with my boyfriend, I visited the gynaecologist. As soon as she touched my privates I instinctively let out a fake moan. FML
Today, as I was at work as a gynecologist, a twelve-year-old girl asked me, on a scale of 1-10, how tight her "fun stuff" was. This is the new generation. FML
Today, I went to see a doctor because of some blood in my stool. Not only is the matter embarrassing enough as is, it turned out the doctor was a young, crisply dressed, extremely handsome man. I then had his finger in my ass for a check-up, all the while him being very nice about it. I'm still mortified. FML

Don't you have to agree to have nurses in training observe you? If not, they're all mature adults and -should- be professional about it.

You didn't have to agree to it if you were uncomfortable. No doctor has the right to force a patient against their will. All you had to do was politely refuse. End of story.

Exactly. But i'm thinking YDI, when i went to the doctors i was told they had a trainee in, and asked if i was OK. I said yes as it was only for an ear infection ofc. But still, surely you had the same option? If not FYL. You didnt give enough info to decide OP ...

I'm fairly sure that in this situation, a consent form must be signed, or you have to give verbal consent before they bring in students of any kind. If they didn't ask, you should have told them straight out that you were not comfortable with it, and asked them to leave. YDI for not speaking up for yourself, and if you did have to give consent, I don't know why you're complaining about anything. Just remember, those students one day will be doctors. Would you rather they just did things based off charts?

I didn't post anything that was against the rules. I simply stated that if there was a consent form signed, I personally don't understand why it's an FML. If there wasn't one signed, then the person should have said something right then and there about their comfort level. I did not say the person shouldn't have posted, only that I didn't understand why they felt this way after the very likely event that they consented to the students being there in the first place. As was said previously by someone else, the person who posted really didn't give enough information to judge properly. Also, I think it's hilarious that the commenting rules state you can't say in a post whether or not something is "FML worthy." Even though that's not what I did, I feel I need to point out that telling someone they "deserved it" is telling them that what they are saying is not fml worthy because they caused the situation themselves. It's hypocritical to have a "you deserved it" option, and then to say calling someone out in a comment is violating the rules.
