Today, after weeks of money slowly disappearing from the stash in my bedroom, I confronted my son about it. I'm not sure which is worse: that my son is a thief or that he actually blamed his father for it. We've been divorced and haven't spoken for eight years. FML

you have a stash in your bedroom? Whatever happened to the bank?

Discipline should be in order. Seriously, who steals money from their own parents?

if he doesn't have a dad it's up to u to teach the kid some morals like stealing is wrong.

Shame, somebody still has some daddy issues.

Maybe OPs ex is in need of money? just bc OP and her ex haven't spoken doesn't mean a boy can't talk to his dad

you sound like a really selfish family to keep your son from being involved with his father for 8 years. grow up and learn to communicate for your child's well being. I'm sick of loser parents having kids and then having a bad relationship later when you two decide to bail out on your family. deal with your situation

get a video camera to record who's doing it & if your son is the culprit & is a teen, have the police take his ass to juvi for a week...if he's younger, take everything away you can as punishment &/or whoop his lil punk ass.

Obviously just reacting according to previous example, your usual reaction

YDI for "stashing" money in your bedroom like a 12-yr-old kid who's saving up pocket money for a new skateboard. Grow up and open a savings account and you won't have to worry about your son stealing your money.

Well, don't be surprise if next time they call you to tell you that your kid is been convicted for 15 years in prison for breaking into a bank!!!!....
