Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my wife and I had an argument serious enough to end our marriage, while overseas on vacation, with my whole family present. Three more days of awkward tension until we get to fly home and it all ends. FML
Today, the guy I have been seeing left town to visit his family for three weeks. A few hours later, he called me from the airport to say he is never coming back. FML
Today, I found out that my husband booked one-way tickets for our family to another country, without any return flights or even a place to stay, or money to navigate anything. We're living with my income, and I’m not sure if I want a divorce or a protective order against him. FML
Today, my husband told me he'd changed his mind and no longer wants children. We already have two kids. FML
Today, my husband and I moved to get closer to his job. Today he got transferred 150 miles away from where we moved to. FML
Today, my husband got home from hospital following a suicide attempt that was a hair's breadth from being successful, and told me he did it because he can’t handle being married, being a father, having responsibilities, then he moved out and refuses to come home. FML
Today, on the first day of school, my husband decided it was the perfect time to announce that he’s leaving because he’s seeing another woman. He already had his suitcase packed, and vanished. Now I have to take my kids to school, crying over their dad. FML
Today, I ran into my ex at the mall. He’s married, with a 2 year-old. Three years ago he ended our 6-year relationship because he said he didn’t believe in marriage and kids. Sorry for not being good enough to achieve those things with. FML
Today, my husband and I had a huge fight and he stormed out, all because I told him that now that as he's no longer in the military and we're not moving around anymore, I want to stop homeschooling our kids and put them in regular school. He refused. FML
Today, I learned that my husband is getting deployed for we don’t know how long, and I’ll be left all alone, in a different country far away from home. FML

You know he can't make you do anything you don't want to do. So why did you get on the plane?

Probably so they could go back to live with OP's family til she for back on her own feet. Bright side he's not a complete monster. Some people would kick them out and leave them struggling, or he would have needed to take the kid, which by the sounds of it he really didn't want to.

I liked this, and now I remember why I don't agree. because I (and I hope OP agrees) would much rather be where I am completely loved, rather than where I am not wanted or loved properly anymore

Well, at least he gave you a reason. You gotta give him that!

And at least he put them on a plane instead of just "out" .....

It sucks for you and I’m sorry, but I’m also *super* curious about his side of the story now.

maybe it's long past this, but constructive conversation goes a very long way. and maybe finding who you truly are without them is what you need. I've been sent back home from my now ex husband, and it was the best revalation of my 25 years of life so far. because I was so stuck on a skewed vision of "us", I didn't even have me in the picture anymore, just what was best for him and I, never myself only. and that hurt so badly because I had to remind myself who I am and where I came from. it was difficult, however I would never have moved back in with him to "figure things out". I knew I was (am) a better me without him now that he wasn't blinding me from seeing it too
