Today, after spending $120 to have a bouquet of flowers delivered to my mom, she called to complain that I had forgotten about her for Mother's day, but also praise my sister for apparently receiving my flowers I sent at the door and passing them off as hers. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I sent a $120 bouquet of flowers for mother's day. When I called tonight see if my Mom got them, she replied that they were still on the doorstep because she "didn't want the dogs to get excited and start barking" when she opened the front door to bring them in. FML
Today, a guy left flowers on my doorstep. I got home to find my dad claiming he bought them for my mum. I told my parents they were mine, they laughed in my face. FML
Today, my sisters and I pitched together nearly $500 to send my mom to the spa for Mother's Day. We put the printed sheet with her info into a little box with our card on top. When she opened it, she freaked out and started hugging my dad. Turns out he switched the cards and took all the credit. FML
Today, I was in a terrific mood after finding a bouquet of beautiful flowers on my doorstep when I came home. That is, until I recognised the handwriting of my "secret admirer" was the same as my mother's. FML
Never enough, never
Today, after I took my mom her favourite wine, a card, and an expensive orchid for her conservatory, and also spent all Saturday afternoon with her and took her out for lunch, what did she post on Facebook? Her disappointment that I didn’t spend Mother’s Day with her on Sunday because I was working. FML
Today, I called the florist and ordered a flower arrangement for my grandma, who I was told was sick. I said I didn't know what to get her, so just to send her something nice. I got a call from my mom calling me an inconsiderate bastard. They sent my grandma forget-me-nots. She has Alzheimer's. FML
Today, my Mom came to pay me a short visit at college. She handed me some flowers, which were a Valentine's Day gift, because she "figured I wouldn't be getting any from anyone else this year." FML
Today, I got flowers sent to my work, I happily opened them in front of my co-workers thinking they were from my crush, I open the card to see "Love you, from mom". My mother thinks my love life is so pathetic, thats she needs to send me flowers to cheer me up. FML
Today, I bought some flowers. As I was checking out, the cashier asked, "Aww, these for your mom? How sweet." I responded they were for a girl I liked. She laughed and said, "Sorry…" FML
Today, my mother called me a bad son for not telling her "Happy Mother's Day". When I told her Mother's Day wasn't until the 10th, she said that I would have forgotten anyway. FML

And then you cleared it all up by telling her YOU sent the flowers, showing her the receipt if you have to. There, problem solved. Now your mom knows you love her and that your sister is a liar.

Tell your mom you bought them and show her the receipt. Problem solved. Shame on the sister.

I'd sent her a copy of the bill for the flowers and just comment "really?" on it. See what the both of them have to say after that.

Next time try a fruit basket - they're more delicious! Also, maybe call her earlier in the day (before the drop off time) asking if she's received a delivery yet, it will hint that she should expect something from you :)

OP here. I did clear everything up and told her the truth. I was really excited to get a happy phone call from my mom about how she loved my gift. But I was put down with that instead. In the end my sister (who had no job to even pay for flowers) didn't get in trouble. And my mom didn't even bother to thank me. Instead she decided to get upset with me for not coming to see her on Mother's day.. although I live over 800 miles away. Nothing I do pleases anyone.

no, you can't please her. it's impossible. if you went to see without gift. she will be angry for not bringing anything. if you bought her gift and went to see her, she will scold you for spending too much money. I totally understand you.
