Today, after seven people at work approaching me and asking me if I was 'that lad from the paper', I picked one up to see what they were talking about. Turns out my doppelganger is a man who brutally murdered his older brother last year. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.

Today, I got contacted by an arm-chair detective do-gooder who was convinced my dad is a serial killer. I asked around and it turns out the do-gooder is actually prime suspect for a local murder and dismemberment. FML
Today, I walked over to join a group of friends and heard them talking about how hot some guy was but how ugly his sister was. I asked who they were talking about and there was an awkward silence, they hadn't realized I was there. Apparently, they were talking about my brother. FML
Today, on my way to work, I was checking my hair in the semi-reflective window of an office building. I suddenly realized that the guy I had a one-night stand with last week was standing on the other side, looking confused. He now genuinely believes that I am stalking him. FML
Today, my girlfriend told me I have a doppelganger on campus who looks just like me, but way cuter. She got his phone number. FML
Today, the police were canvassing my neighbourhood about a recent robbery. When I answered the door, my brother saw badges, panicked, and jumped out our apartment's third-storey window in an attempt to escape. He thought they were after him for using a bong two weeks ago. I'm related to this twit. FML
What's in a name?
Today, I introduced my coworker to my friend's boyfriend. When I mentioned his name, she started crying. Apparently he has the same first name as her twin brother, who died shortly after birth, so that name has become a bit of a sore spot for her. I didn't even know she had a twin. FML
Today, I was mistaken for my twin brother twice. This probably wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't a girl. FML
Godammit Ursula!
Today, I found out that my sister has been telling people I’ve been dead for the last 3 months, to cover up the fact she used me to commit identity fraud. We’re identical twins. FML
Today, when I turned on the TV, there was a picture of a wanted murderer. The picture looked just like my boyfriend. FML
Ed Gein vibes
Today, both a coworker of mine and my boss agreed that I fit the profile of a serial killer. I don't know what's worse, the fact that they think that low of me, or the fact that this isn't the first time someone's said I remind them of a serial killer. FML

I always walk up to possible murderers and ask them about their newspaper appearance.

Look at them through narrowed eyes and say, "Want to find out?"

It could've been worse. If you and the murderer look that much alike, he could've accidentally confused you with his older brother.

Well are you???

Growing or shaving a beard (whichever applies) would be another good option.

at least now no one will try to make you mad

I don't see the problem? You're obviously not the murderer?? Who cares about some stranger that 'looks' like you.

Okay moron, if you would have read the FML you would have saw the the seven people were from his work. Usually when you work with people you get to know them. They were more than likely joking with him. If he were the murder in the newspaper do you really think he'd be at work?

At least the police aren't the ones asking

Are you?

I'd say to the next one who asks, "Yes. Aren't we related?" See if they wet themselves.

The thing that gets me is how casually people were asking you that. I mean if I saw someone I thought might be a murderer I would walk up to them asking "hey, are you a murder?"
