Today, after months of saving, I went to buy the wedding ring I promised to buy my fiancée. Just seconds after I walked in, the owner asked me to leave, saying he doesn't serve "trash" like me, while pointing at the memorial tattoo on the back of my hand. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was out with my boyfriend, when he started browsing wedding rings. He found a ring, proposed to me right there in front of a crowd, and then was promptly denied a payment plan. We left without a ring. FML
Today, I went to a jewellery store to sell my wedding ring, after a long and painful divorce. The shop owner took one look at it and called the cops because I tried to sell him a diamond ring that had been stolen from him 3 years ago. My ex-husband left the country a week ago. FML
Not the one
Today, an ex-boyfriend of mine came to the jewelry store I work at to pick out an engagement ring for his girlfriend. The same guy who just a few months earlier ended our 8-year relationship because I wanted marriage and he didn't. FML
How can I put this…?
Today, I went with my girlfriend to the mall. We were looking at jewellery in Zales and she came across the engagement rings. She looks at one and says, "Are you kidding me? That ring is hideous and it's the most expensive one here! Who the fuck would buy that?" Well, that would be me. FML
Today, I went to a jeweler's to buy a ring to propose to my girlfriend. When I was at the restaurant, in mid-proposal, with people watching, I realized I had left the ring in the store. FML
Today, I bought a fake "wedding ring" at Target to play a prank on my parents. They kicked me out, saying my "fiancé" can take care of me now. There is no fiancé, and I just lost my job. FML
Today, my girlfriend dumped me for the tattoo artist who gave us our matching "love" tattoos. FML
Today, I had to sell my wedding ring to help me pay for my divorce. FML
It's all too much
Today, I took a ring to be cleaned, and the jeweler offered to clean all my rings, so I gave them to him. When he gave them back, he said he'd polished all the scratches on the wedding band. The “scratches” were the remains of the original engraving on my dead father's wedding band. FML
Today, I was shopping for rings with my fiancée. We spent over two hours selecting the perfect ring and diamond to match. When filling out the paperwork I discovered I left my wallet at home. She had to pay the 20% down payment for the ring. FML

You don't want to be buying a ring from an ass like that.

That is horrible. Im sorry. You can always get it else where or you can have it made custom for her. Those are usually the same price and much better quality. Good luck and dont let their negativity put you in a bad mood!

try wearing a pair of gloves... ya know.. boxing gloves, slug the prick! That's a 'trashy' move in itself, judging someone based on a tattoo.. ESPECIALLY when they're about to drop money on an engagement ring!

that's against the law OP...he is not allowed to reject the service based on your appearance... fight for it...

Tattoos are not a protected class. When it comes to tattoos, people can do whatever they want. Protected groups are along the lines of race, ethnicity, disability, gender, and religion. Some states don't even protect gay or transgender people

I bet if you showed him the money he would've quickly changed his mind, but then you should've said "sorry I don't give money to trash like you"

Post the name of the store and location on here. I think that everyone who reads this is offended the same whether or not you have or like tattoos. If you remember Hitlers real name from the store that would help too. I have a feeling that you could easily get him fired from the pressure of just those who read your FML

If he doesn't serve "trash" like you, he certainly doesn't deserve your hard earned cash!

He sounds like an ass, and apparently the tattoo helped you to decipher that. But having a tattoo in that public an area brings out a lot of problems. I'd be surprised if some job interviewers for example wouldn't say things in a nicer way....but give you the same message

It's crazy. One of the things I have learned from working at a bank is that the ones with the most money don't show it.
