Today, after months of saving, I went to buy the wedding ring I promised to buy my fiancée. Just seconds after I walked in, the owner asked me to leave, saying he doesn't serve "trash" like me, while pointing at the memorial tattoo on the back of my hand. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was out with my boyfriend, when he started browsing wedding rings. He found a ring, proposed to me right there in front of a crowd, and then was promptly denied a payment plan. We left without a ring. FML
Today, I went to a jewellery store to sell my wedding ring, after a long and painful divorce. The shop owner took one look at it and called the cops because I tried to sell him a diamond ring that had been stolen from him 3 years ago. My ex-husband left the country a week ago. FML
Not the one
Today, an ex-boyfriend of mine came to the jewelry store I work at to pick out an engagement ring for his girlfriend. The same guy who just a few months earlier ended our 8-year relationship because I wanted marriage and he didn't. FML
How can I put this…?
Today, I went with my girlfriend to the mall. We were looking at jewellery in Zales and she came across the engagement rings. She looks at one and says, "Are you kidding me? That ring is hideous and it's the most expensive one here! Who the fuck would buy that?" Well, that would be me. FML
Today, I went to a jeweler's to buy a ring to propose to my girlfriend. When I was at the restaurant, in mid-proposal, with people watching, I realized I had left the ring in the store. FML
Today, I bought a fake "wedding ring" at Target to play a prank on my parents. They kicked me out, saying my "fiancé" can take care of me now. There is no fiancé, and I just lost my job. FML
Today, my girlfriend dumped me for the tattoo artist who gave us our matching "love" tattoos. FML
Today, I had to sell my wedding ring to help me pay for my divorce. FML
It's all too much
Today, I took a ring to be cleaned, and the jeweler offered to clean all my rings, so I gave them to him. When he gave them back, he said he'd polished all the scratches on the wedding band. The “scratches” were the remains of the original engraving on my dead father's wedding band. FML
Today, I was shopping for rings with my fiancée. We spent over two hours selecting the perfect ring and diamond to match. When filling out the paperwork I discovered I left my wallet at home. She had to pay the 20% down payment for the ring. FML

What an asshole dude. I work retail and you wouldn't believe the hell I get for having a tattoo on my wrist. Some people actually told my manager its "unprofessional." But eh, screw him take your money else where and see if they can get a ring in like the one your fiancée wants.

I'm happy to see that. I wouldn't hire someone with visible tattoos nor sell them a loaf of bread. YDI

Sorry you had to go through that. I have a fairly large memorial tattoo across my shoulder that I had done after my mother and grandmother passed away a few months apart. While most people compliment me on it, I work as a cashier and one day had someone come in and ask what it said/was (because a little bit of the lettering peeks out of my uniform), and I explained and said it was for my mother. The customer had the gall to say, "oh did you get that done so she'll let you get away with anything and let you live under her roof for the rest of her life?". I was like uhh no she died, and walked away.

Some people just dont understand tattoos. Hes an ass hole and doesnt deserve your business. Im sure you can find the same ring if not a better one somewhere else.

I wouldn't help that business anyway f that if they can't see the art in a tattoo they don't need my money

Honestly, that's very shallow and ignorant of him. I think you deserve better service. If it was a private business, then he can serve and not serve whomever he wants and you can't do anything about it, unfortunately. But if otherwise, find a way to report the way he treated you. I wish you luck to you and your spouse, OP!

I would leave negative reviews on every online rating site (think Yelp) I could find. And send an editorial to the local paper. Congrats on your engagement and I wish you much love and happiness!

I woud'nt want a ring from him to be a symbol of my etenral love and dedication. Take your hard earned money elsewhere.
