Today, after months of saving, I went to buy the wedding ring I promised to buy my fiancée. Just seconds after I walked in, the owner asked me to leave, saying he doesn't serve "trash" like me, while pointing at the memorial tattoo on the back of my hand. FML

Today, I was out with my boyfriend, when he started browsing wedding rings. He found a ring, proposed to me right there in front of a crowd, and then was promptly denied a payment plan. We left without a ring. FML
Today, I went to a jewellery store to sell my wedding ring, after a long and painful divorce. The shop owner took one look at it and called the cops because I tried to sell him a diamond ring that had been stolen from him 3 years ago. My ex-husband left the country a week ago. FML
Today, an ex-boyfriend of mine came to the jewelry store I work at to pick out an engagement ring for his girlfriend. The same guy who just a few months earlier ended our 8-year relationship because I wanted marriage and he didn't. FML
Today, I went with my girlfriend to the mall. We were looking at jewellery in Zales and she came across the engagement rings. She looks at one and says, "Are you kidding me? That ring is hideous and it's the most expensive one here! Who the fuck would buy that?" Well, that would be me. FML
Today, I went to a jeweler's to buy a ring to propose to my girlfriend. When I was at the restaurant, in mid-proposal, with people watching, I realized I had left the ring in the store. FML
Today, I bought a fake "wedding ring" at Target to play a prank on my parents. They kicked me out, saying my "fiancé" can take care of me now. There is no fiancé, and I just lost my job. FML
Today, my girlfriend dumped me for the tattoo artist who gave us our matching "love" tattoos. FML
Today, I had to sell my wedding ring to help me pay for my divorce. FML
Today, I took a ring to be cleaned, and the jeweler offered to clean all my rings, so I gave them to him. When he gave them back, he said he'd polished all the scratches on the wedding band. The “scratches” were the remains of the original engraving on my dead father's wedding band. FML
Today, I was shopping for rings with my fiancée. We spent over two hours selecting the perfect ring and diamond to match. When filling out the paperwork I discovered I left my wallet at home. She had to pay the 20% down payment for the ring. FML

A similar thing happened to my mom when she went somewhere to buy a Camaro when they first came out; she had the cash money, but didn't dress in her sunday best and was asked to leave because tbey only serve serious customers. I hate when people act like this because of how a customer looks, everyone deserves a fair chance.

#47 tattoos are an expression. just like clothes, makeup. saying that the way someone has chosen to express themselves is saying everyone would be trashy as well. that they're clothes are trashy. So, that salesman shouldn't have a job. nobody should with that.

I don't understand how this guy gets any business if he's judging Op as trash because he has 1 tattoo. Does he judge anyone that isn't wearing a suit or dress? What if someone comes in in sweats, or has a shaved head, or purple hair, or is covered in piercings? I'm surprised he has any business and that word hasn't gotten around that he's a jerk.

Chances are if it was at that store the exact ring (and if not, one super similar one) will be at another store. I'm sure if you explain it to your fiancé she wouldn't even want you to buy that ring from that douche anyway. Can't believe there are store owners like that..they should know that word of mouth can have a really strong impact.
