Today, after having loaned my girlfriend money after she claimed to be broke and unable to pay her rent and electricity bills, she went out, spent it all on a new purse and phone, and now refuses to pay me back. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I called my ex-girlfriend to see if she would meet up with me so I could give her money to pay off the rest of the TV we had on layaway before we broke up. Turns out she cancelled it and took all the money I put into it. I put $500 down. FML
Today, I found out that my girlfriend of almost 6 years has put me in debt over $33,000. FML
Today, I found out that my girlfriend has been paying her half of the rent by taking my ATM card and getting money from my account. FML
Today, I discovered that the five-star meal that my friend treated me to last night was actually meant to be repayment of the $200 I loaned her last month. I needed that money for bills and she refuses to give me another cent. FML
Neither a borrower nor a lender be
Today, my friend won’t pay me back the money I lent her. I stupidly lent her $1200. She’s calling me an “inconsiderate bitch” because I “have a good paying job, I’ll be alright.” FML
Remember the promise you made
Today, my mom decided to go against every promise she's made to everyone once again and left us in financial ruin. How? She took advantage of my kindness, and didn't pay any of the money she owes me for driving my car, and for so much more. I'm more than $2,000 in debt now. FML
Cheeky
Today, my ex got arrested for stealing. His new girlfriend texted me asking if I could lend her money to bail him out. FML
This is the end
Today, my girlfriend of 8 months and I broke up. We decided to give back everything we ever bought for each other. I gave her the stuff she bought me and when I asked for my stuff she said she'd sold it and spent the money on herself. FML
Thieves like us
Today, my mom stole my holiday money because she found it “near her bag” in my kitchen and “assumed it was hers” and she must have “forgotten it was in there all this time.” I demanded it back, but she’d already spent it on hair, nails, shoes, and a date night with dad. She won’t pay me back either. FML
Today, my mother woke me up and asked to borrow money. Still groggy, I mumbled where my money stash was. She took all $300 and refuses to pay me back because I'm her son and I "owe" her. FML

Well, she can keep all her stuff in her purse and text you whining until her battery dies while she's living on the street.

Maybe... Just maybe, bare with me here... He doesn't ever buy her anything or shows appreciation for her and she felt the need to lie to get him to buy her something in return. I mean, she IS his girlfriend and I'm sure she gives it up to him often so she should deserve a little something... If that's the case she DID go about the whole dilemma the wrong way but maybe she thought this would be the only way to get something from him...? (Hence the fact she doesn't feel the need to pay him back) Just a diff perspective.

If she isn't happy with OP's treatment of her, she shouldn't be robbing him blind. She should be in a different relationship.

If that is the situation that's an incredibly immature way of going about "getting" something back. She shouldn't feel the need to get anything from him to begin with. To me relationships should be about giving, not plotting ways to get a purse! I'm not attacking you, I'm just saying if that were the situation it still makes her look horrible.

Oh I'm not saying I condone what she did, IF that was even the reason she did it... regardless, That's a bitch move! I'm just putting it out there because sadly I know of a few females that do this kind of stuff all the time to their boyfriends and try to justify it by saying they "deserve a little something in return" and don't give a shit.

57, in every relationship I have been in, I have never, ever, EVER, expected my boyfriend to buy me anything as a way to show appreciation toward me. Why? Because it's the most shallow, superficial way to get a point across. And because frankly, I don't ******* need it. Way to set women back. I don't need a man to buy me anything to show his appreciation. I'd much rather he show it in some other way. And no one is taking their clothes off. It's "bear".

Plus, why doesn't she owe him anything for "giving it up" as well? I mean why is the guy automatically the one to owe her for the sex they had together?

DTMFA, and be glad you found out she's a lying spendthrift early on in the relationship, and especially before you had joint finances or, Ghu forbid, got married. Nice username, BTW.

That's why you ALWAYS pay the bills directly at the source for people and don't hand them money. After learning that mistake I made sure to go to the places my friends or boyfriends owed money with them and paid the past due owed.

No... It doesn't

92- It only doesn't seem fair to you because we haven't established a trade value on blow jobs! ;) A good purse? 3 "oral expectations" should balance everything, 2 if she swallows. (100 if we're talking about one of $5000 Prada bags!) A cell phone? Depends what we're talking about here but considering she "borrowed" enough money for a month of rent.....do I hear 50? 55? 60 to the girl with the batman cap on.....Sold! ;P *Teasing!* :p

She can pay you back by having sex with you the way you want

Should have just paid her bills directly instead of handing her cash. Take her valuable items till she pays you back.
